Absolutely a joke, we were with Wairarapa Environmental for about 2 years then we canceled service just before end of contract, still was told we have to have another two weeks of service and then another two weeks then somebody will collect our bin. They want charge us for empty bin sitting on the road then wait another two weeks for somebody to come and remove bin from our driveway. That was December last year, today is February and rubbish bin mysterious appears on our driveway. Give them a call and ask, again, to remove bin ones for all. Looks to me like is no coordination between office and workers. No star from me, not worth it. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else.
Absolute joke. Just moved into area and noticed these wheelie bins everywhere in our road. So we phone to arrange to get a bin and are told they don’t service our road and to phone the 0800 number. Confused why we have the bins in our road and witnessed them being serviced we phone the 0800 who confirm pricing and service. We are then told to email the website to arrange the account setup to which we receive a return phone call saying they do not service our road and to phone the 0800!!! Absolute insanity…left hand / right hand..one saying no problem to get bin and the other in denial. Guess this occurs when a business operates under multiple names and multiple locations. Green fingers / Garden Waste is Auckland based business owner…Wairarapa Environmental is a remote and minor concern it would appear….We just want a wheelie bin service that works and that we can set up an account to pay you….why make it so hard? Your email and local number should not need authorisation from an 0800 number…AND YOUR SERViCE AREA should match where you have your wheelie bins in public view with all contact pathways in agreement.
Please avoid using Wai Bins. Would give zero stars if I could. Hands down the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It has been five weeks since we signed with Wai Bins. We live in an area in Carterton that is clearly serviced by Wai Bins and is not deemed rural. To date they have not collected our general refuse. I have spoken with customer service and the operations manager on multiple occasions. Several commitments from them to resolve the issue have resulted in nothing. I have had to dump our general refuse at the transfer station in Carterton at my cost. Truely a joke. Am in the process of cancelling our service with them and seeking a refund/credit for costs incurred to date. I have no faith that even this will be resolved quickly.
Unreliable reporting of bin pick up by driver continues to cause inconvenience to us. Company managers do not seem to be able to right matters with any permanent effect.
I am surprised there are so many negative reviews for Wairarapa Environmental. I have been with them for a year now and have experienced great service. I usually receive a reminder notification a week prior to collection - which I once didn't receive, although I should also have checked the calendar on my account. Wairarapa Environmental did an extra run to make up for the missed collection.
I used to get a weekly collection but my circumstances changed. I wanted to go to monthly collection, but despite their website saying it was an option the said I couldn’t do that. So I declined to renew the service. Spoke directly to a person, they were advised I seemed to have no other closed but to acknowledged I had cancel the service. Took a while for them to collect the free green waste bin and the general waste bin. But to top of the bad experience, they continued to send me invoices. I have rung and emailed them about this yet for the past year they continue to sent me urgent notices every month. If I could give no stars i would.
Booked a bin 4 weeks ago, which was delivered the next day even though they said a week to 10 days! but have received no further contact. The bin has not been emptied. I have received no account, so can't pay or manage my bin collection. I've rung but no one answers. Is this outfit a joke?
Hardly deserve a rating at all. Worst customer service experience ever. Had a bin with them for years living in the country, no issues, move into town, bin not getting emptied on a regular basis. Call center staff rude and unhelpful. Decided to change companies and asked for bin to be picked up last August 2020, finally after a very pushy phone call the bin was finally picked up yesterday May 2021. Poor poor service. Wouldn't bother using this company again
Absolutely horrible customer service! I've never experienced anything like it before. The operator kept hanging up on me, was extremely rude and didn't want a bar of my issue. She couldn't confirm closing my account when asked and instead hung up again! Apparently the crew were busy so my request would have to wait a whole week despite already organising with someone else to have it sorted. Finally got a supervisor who was lovely mannered but still couldn't fulfil the simple task that was requested.
Very poor customer service. I've had to call three times for separate issues. First time the operator was interrupting me not letting me speak. Another time collection was not being made because they put me on the wrong colour code for Carterton area and the focus of the conversation rather than fixing the issue was blaming me for not noticing sooner. I have sent two separate emails which have never had a reply. I am also still awaiting a refund that was promised to me. Many of their clients are also awaiting refunds. I will be moving to another company.
