Story

Waipu Horse Adventures offers Horse treks along the Waipu Coastline, experience the beach from horseback . friendly groups of up to 7 taking you along the Uretiti Beach and through the lovely horse trails.
We are also offering moonlight rides a totally unique experience.
Friendly Staff and well mannered horses make these treks a great way to relieve stress and enjoy the outdoors .
1 Hour treks for $80 and Children $65 must be 7 years of age or over unless discussed prior. Moonlight treks with bbq and complimentary drink $150.

Horse guides Briar & Billy were amazing guides throughout the horse trek. We had to change a rider at the start of the trek due to an unforeseen circumstance, and they were okay with that. They did a safety brief and explained a bit about the horses and which ones we would be riding and in which order. After all, the formalities were out of the way we were on the trek. It started in a paddock on the edge of the sand dunes and we trekked through the farm a bit and through the bush and over the sand dunes which we were then greeted with the a view of the Waipu coast with the ocean and surf, so beautiful. We went down the beach a bit and enjoyed the scenery, and then we headed back the same way. They took photos along the way and shared them with us at the end, which was nice. Thanks, Briar and Billy. Adele was great. Very kind, charming lady. We rode Odyssey Ody and Missy, and she was on Pepper. The horses were very well-behaved and well-taken care of. The beach ride was lovely, and Adele was very keen to make sure we had the best experience possible. I definitely recommend Waipu Horse adventures!
It was absolutely amazing!!! I totally love it! Heloise was so nice and patience to us especially we are beginner. Heloise picked all beautiful and friendly horses for us and the demonstration was clear. we have odin and odyssey and they are so beautiful and interesting come with different personality. Odyssey is a gentle girl with good listening ears and Odin is super clever and active. I could tell they are under good caring with a lot of love. The view at the waipu beach was stunning and breath taken. Heloise even took plenty photoes and videos for us. It was very thoughful!!! It was a fun,relax and safe experience even for kids! Definetly coming back again and I am highly recomend it!!!! Don't miss it and it really worth it! Aroha from Elena and Kevin
Awesome experience! Adele the host made us feel extremely comfortable and well looked after. She definitely went above and beyond to make it an incredible experience for both of us. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Extremely disappointed with the experience before even experiencing the actual activity. We booked and paid for two people over a week in advance only to be told on the day of the activity 30 minutes prior to the start time that there was no booking and there are no staff to take us out via text as they did not pick up our calls. We politely asked for a refund which was ignored, and then pursued for over a week constantly and had to bring up the disputes tribunal for them to act. We were told the refund had been processed multiple times but only processed when asked for a screenshot of proof, which happened this morning. If the service was ok it would not have escalated to this point but it was a lot of stress and time just to get a refund for something we did not even get to experience.
Fantastic day. Had some very knowledgeable and accommodating guides, making a fun experience for all our group's experience levels. Would thoroughly recommend and keen to go again some time!
Took a 1 hr ride with my girlfriend for the first time here the other day and it was AWESOME. Beautiful landscapes, very clear communication from our leader, the horses were well behaved, absolutely fantastic for beginners and casual riders. I’m looking forward to going on the slightly advanced 2 hr ride sometime soon!
Awesome place! We went there on a Sunday for a beach trek. We didn't have much experience and we little bit nervous, stuff was really helpful and supportive. The trek itself goes from the farm through bush to a beach. Views are picturesque! The horses were friendly, obedient and well behaved. I would definitely recommend this place!
The guide was very aware of us as nervousness horse riders and accommodated. The horses were well trained and obedient. The views on the beach were breath taking and it was such a unique experience to go in the water with the horses!!
It was average for me. My wife enjoyed. For me it was rather dull and extremely quiet. I was hoping to gallop the horse in the beach. Rather i got some very slow pace horse. I fell asleep during the ride. I would recommend this for kids but not adults. I think they exaggerated on the safety procedures making the experience just plain boring.
