What a little find. Very basic looking hotel but inside you will find very friendly staff, great prices and delicious meals. We both had steak sandwiches and the steak was a decent thickness and sooooo tender. Loved it. My steak picture attached was $10Recommended dishesSteak Sandwich
Old school kiwi tavern. Affordable 'camping' out the back. Would have liked to have tried a room but they don't have many so they're usually booked up. Great location for seeing the geothermal attractions in the area and good burgers.
We stayed there for two nights. It is advised that there is a guest kitchen, but there is no job, just a microwave oven and a toaster. So we had to take all our meals in the Tavern. Else the accommodation is good. In the Tavern, the burgers are great, but the fries are not.Rooms: 5/5
We have eaten here twice lately The food is great and great value for money and the service by the ladies on the nights we have been , has been excellent A great old fashioned country pub Well worth a stopover if your passing by Nearby activities: Waiotapu thermal area Kerosene creek and hot and cold bathing areas Waikite hot pools Lake Rerewhakaaitu and camping areas just up the road The great walk up Rainbow Mountain is just up the road Great road and mountain biking very close by
Place offers camping site for 20 NZD, there is one toilet and one hot shower. Bar closed on Friday night at 9 PM. Tap bear costs only 6 NZDRooms: 5/5
This unassuming tavern has nice food available on order. Service is top notch and cheap safe place to stay if you need a place for a car to camp.Food: 5/5
Hmm. Hard to give this unassuming dive bar a poor review but just so you know what to expect. Very basic tavern fare and drinks. Went there because it was the closest thing to our campground at the hot springs. Bartender was lovely but the food was only okay. That said, I would go back again because the service was great and the beer was beer. Played a few rounds of pool and watched the rugby World Cup. Great night.
We had an amazing steak at this establishment. Time for a quick game of pool before a delicious meal! Lovely people too. Nearby activities: Enjoyed swimming 6k away at Waikite Valley pools.
