Waiomio valley is located some 48kms/ 35mins north of Whangarei.
-10mins/ 8kms south of the settlement of Kawakawa and a further 15mins from Paihia in the Bay of Islands.
It is referred to as the birthplace of the hapu of Ngāti Hine where their ancestress Hineamaru lived as did in later years the renown Chief Te Ruki Kawiti.
Waiomio Downs has been in existence for over 20 years and continues to support the ongoing development of new and exciting ventures, using the many resources available to us.
One venture that is important to us is the oppourtunity to care for your little furry friend that co-exists, as apart of a loved family pet, a little hoha that eats your shoes and your alarm clock for when you don't really need one. Were here to give him/her a holiday away from you! Oh and I guess vice versa, and an opportunity for your dog to enjoy long walks in the bush, fetching in the yard, and swimming in the spring-fed pond as well as some awesome doggy company, with our own talented bunch Peti, Namu's and Winky.
