The Wainuiomata Community Centre is here to help the community with what ever they need
The Wainuiomata Community Centre Incorporated Society is a non-profit organisation set up in 1995 to provide a focal point for social services and activities in Wainuiomata. Our focus is on community development and providing services and activities that will meet the needs and enhance the life of our community in general.
The Community Centre’s initiatives include; community education, ICT access, youth programmes, community radio station, senior citizens activities, parenting, health and more. We also provide a venue for a variety of community groups that offer a range of activities to all ethnic groups.
The Community Centre is governed by a committee of 8 volunteers referred to as the Governance Board. The Governance Board is responsible for the strategic direction of the organisation.
