Wainui Cake Kitchen is a bakery that I grew up with in Wainuiomata and still has some of the same yummy treats and pies. If you're looking for a scratch bakery, try here.
Food is lovely and fresh. Cream cakes have a good amount of cream they don't skimp on the helpings. Rolls and sandwiches with appetizing filling. Well worth a visit your stomach love it. Oh and they have dog biscuits my dog loves too.
Two years ago I visited to buy a neenish tart always do when visiting family, unfortunately they had sold out. Went in today to get my neenish tart fix....what have you done?? These do not taste the same and was a huge disappointment!!
Absolutely love their sausage rolls and potato top pies so yummy I used to drive all the way from Avalon at least twice a week to get this and an American yummy
