Great fish n chips, nice crispy chips, no crumbed fish but batter not too greasy so v tasty. Fish was a little small but tasted good. Potato fritters also good, pineapple rings a bit smaller but yum and good value with cinnamon sugar on them. Yum ice creams too, decent scoop size and also yum real fruit ice cream! Perfect little dairy shop with drinks and general goods too, all you need for a trip to the beach. Bonus that it's across the road from the playground with a park and picnic tables
Fantastic food at a great price. It was so good, we had dinner from here both nights staying at the campground. Both fish and chips and the pizza were excellent with a special mention of the curry rolls. On weekends, when the phone is ringing constantly and there is a steady flow of people coming in and out of the shop, expect a long wait time. Show some patience - verbal abuse of staff is never okay.
Dropped in on my way from wanaka to Nelson. Really friendly guy at counter. Ordered butter chicken on rice. Very tasty and highly recommend. They clearly care about doing a good job. Looks to be a family run place. Does regular takeaway food plus pizza and some curry's. Good small town Beach grub with an Indian twist !
Great food and friendly service - one of the best take away stores I have eaten at for some time. A good range - burgers, pizza, F&C and Indian curries. All made fresh and at affordable prices. Where can you get a gourmet burger, made with fresh ingredients to perfection for $9.50.
We asked for our fish and chips to be cooked separately as we only eat halal and didn’t want our food cooked in the same oil as the meat, they listened and catered for that, the food was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked and tasted great. Their service was great as well, very friendly people and helpful as well, will be definitely going back again. The shop was clean and well layed out. Highly recommended
