Ordered the southern chicken 3 bits of chicken and mild amount of chips 30 dollars chicken was dry small and unflavoured. Had to go and receive my own meal what type of backwards bar is it will never return.nnAlso a picture of “salad” the driest thing know to man has this place not heard of dressing or anything other than just a bag of coleslaw with a wedge of tomato and powder gravy is crap
Disappointmentn1 beer, 1 coke and 2 bluecod chips meals @ $105.nThe bluecod were hardly bigger than my middle finger.nNot good value for money. $42 per bluecod chips plate. I feel tricked
Went here tonight with a couple of friends. We don’t usually come here often, but we’d only heard good things about Thursdays and thought it would be a nice place to spend the evening.nAlmost immediately after walking through the door, we were met with a very unwelcoming attitude from a might I be ultra specific middle-aged woman with shoulder-length black hair. We weren’t causing any trouble whatsoever, and while I’ve worked in pubs before I assume it’s mainly because we were younger. Sorry that you’re envious we still have our youth and yours is far gone.nI decided to ignore it and move on, finding a table upstairs before heading back down to the bar to order a drink. Unfortunately, I was met with the same attitude from the same person. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, smiled, and politely asked for a drink. She responded with “please” in a way that felt unnecessarily blunt. I completely understand the importance of manners, so I said “please” with a smile. She then slammed the card machine down on the counter in front of me and gave me an incredibly unpleasant look.nIt was honestly uncomfortable, but I was there to enjoy time with my friends, so I brushed it off. Later on, I went back down for another drink, hoping maybe it had just been a one-off moment. Unfortunately, the same rude and dismissive attitude continued.nI completely understand that everyone has bad days, especially working in hospitality, but the way I was treated felt unnecessarily cold and unwelcoming. I don’t know what impression you’re trying to give customers, but kindness goes a long way.nI also don’t want to overshare, but we were actually there because we recently lost a friend and wanted to spend some time together, have a drink, and remember him between our busy lives. A little bit of warmth and understanding would have meant a lot.nI hope in the future there can be a bit more kindness shown, not just towards customers, but towards yourself as well.
Food is okay but don’t understand why put too much salt in the middle of the chips, really salty. Also the coffee just normal not fantastic, order flat white but gave me heaps of milk foam on top. Shown in the photo the spoon on side of coffee is really dirty. Disappointed.
The food was great, but the staff member serving us needed a personality transplant. Completely rude after we asked for a new fork, as the one on the table was dirty YUK !nEnough said, giving one star for a reason
