Been going to the Kino since the late 70s, always a great pub to go to for a beer, something to eat and a game of pool. Excellent service from the bar staff and good selection from the menu.
Fantastic food, loved the burger and the chowder looked fantastic. Great drink choices well paired with very warm service. Definitely stop here!
Really happy to have stopped in here after driving past many times. Great service, very nice selection of self-made gins and the craft beer was great. Would definitely recommend.
Food is awesome but the opening hours need reviewing. We have had to wait for opening on the weekend multiple times. Along with others. Just a suggestion, you ate losing money not being open in the morning for brunch on the weekends
What a grand place to stumble across. Eliza's gin is absolutely stunning. Great service, groovy old pub and good food! Awesome!
Awesome place to stop for well earned refreshments whilst biking or hiking the Karangahake Gorge. Friendly staff & a tasty menu. Perfect spot also to explore the Victoria Battery.
In preparation for the summer, I recently purchased a Daikin air conditioner. I was able to save $600 thanks to NZ DEPOT. I appreciate them for saving my money.
We were doing the Hauraki Rail Trail & decided to stop here for lunch & beer. Beef burgers & fries were delicious, clean premises, friendly staff & quick service we'll be back again in summer. Thanks for a great feed.
Good service. Excellent food. Interesting venue. Great range of beers.
A lovely building that has has a lot of history, which is available to read inside. Got the fries which were tasty and substantial for 2 - 3 people. Hosts an award winning "gold" gin which nicely reflects the area. The problem for me in this pub lied with the staff and their COVID protocols. For some reason, their masks just hung off their ear most the time and didn't check of vaccination pass to our ID, meaning we could just us anyones pass. Overall though, a nice stop, nothing too flashy.
