Lady inside full of valuable infonas to the operations of the mine.nI wasn't aware it is all undergroundnas the open mine had a large slip,nwhich stopped external mining at this stage.nWahi looks a small quiet town great for history tours but told it's a hive of activity.
Like all the info centres in new Zealand, there are always all kind of local info you wante and need, plus the lady working there when we arrived was very very warm hearted and knowledgeable.nThe most enjoyable part in Waihi is Pit Rim Walkway, which has lots of accesses, and one is just cross the road with the info centre. We had a really great time walking through in a light rain
