After going to 'another" PC repair - a home business in Waihi, where a dog barks and growls at the door, and a loud siren goes off to alert the PC guy you're there... and you're told that your charger port is a big deal, and will cost a lot... I got a second opinion. The guys at Printec, fixed my charger port on the spot and were super nice to deal with. Honest and professional. $150.00. Yes, I'd go there again.
Have asked them to turn wonder into turn an old tape into Cd. Watch this space. Heard that they were able. Back at ya. Did what they found out in know a CD awedome work. Wonderful helpers. Price high but you want then use them or travelling may help.
My bank required me to find "a trusted computer shop to give my laptop a forensic clean". Having had several recommendations, I chose these people. I am very happy with the result. The work was done within a very reasonable time frame and the bill was equally reasonable.
Not impressed at the local tech guys. Cost $75 for them to look at my chromebook and it was going to cost $275 to fix it. Not impressed won't be recommending and never going back here. My chromebook cost me $300 new, no thanks tech guys! Ur rates are a rip
1 star for my most recent dealings with Printec Digital Group. Have been a customer for a while having had screens on my daughter's phone and son's chromebook repaired with no issues. However the latest screen I had repaired lasted just 3 weeks. The phone had not been dropped or mishandled in anyway and was always in a protective case, 3/4 of the screen just randomly went black - so as it was under warranty I took it back. Was told they had to get a technicians opinion to which they sent a photo through email to their "technician" to say it had been dropped or pressed excessively hard which it hadn't. Had to really argue the point that the phone had not sustained any physical damage and it was still under a 90 day warranty. Still they wouldn't honour the warranty. They then told me they could repair it for $100 instead of the $175 I previously paid, not happy with that my partner went back. They then offered to repair it for $60. Why would they offer to repair it for a much less price each time when it had as they said "sustained physical damage" eventually they refunded my partner the full amount. Won't ever be dealing with them again.
We brought our printer to this business to be repaired. They charged us $75 dollars to tell us it was broken and they can't fix it. So they said if we buy a replacement printer from them, they'll deduct the $75 they charged us to look at it. So, we bite the bullet and buy a second hand printer from them for an additional $40 that they had fixed. The second page it printed it was acting up. Misaligned printing, wrinkled paper... So with it being under a 30 day warranty we take it back to them to be fixed. They say they can't fix it. They offer to give us our original still broken printer and the additional money they charged us for second hand one they said worked perfectly. So after three trips to Waihi and out $120 bucks the only thing we got from them is a broken printer.
Very happy Customer Here, My Gmail account which was created 10 years ago was locked out since last month, and these guys recovered the required info and now I am back in action, Highly recommended and very reasonable prices. Will defiantly use these guys for all my tech problems.
Nothing wrong with the repair service itself but they do try to rip people off. Got Laptop screen repaired and the price was given after the inspection asking if I wanted to proceed with the repairthey require you to fill out a form before the repair that states that the inspection of the device is free if you do proceed with the repair processotherwise depending on the device. In my case Laptop=60$. Price was stated through a phone call. Picking up the laptop they wanted to charge me for the inspection which is stated free on the contract. They did not want to accept the fact that they are not following their on terms and conditions. After discussion over 20 minutes they finally accepted and took the inspection fee of the invoice.
