The Waiheke Unlimited brand was founded and launched by owner Ed Coutts in the mid 90’s, seeking out special properties in unique places that would offer the lifestyle that clientele would desire to experience, from luxury beach-side villas to quintessential Kiwi cottages.

"When I view a new holiday home property I ask what I would personally want if it was for myself for accommodation or as a venue,” says Ed. “Tranquility, luxury, isolation, exceptional view, facilities and so on,” he says. If the property meets my criteria, then I am happy to add it to our portfolio of fine holiday homes. “Then I set about marrying clients to a property.”

Offering all guests a total one stop solution, Waiheke Unlimited has looked after many high end clients from heads of state, leading business moguls through to international celebrities, along with the family market.

“We start with the property and can then add on anything the client may desire,” he says. “We do full provisioning if the client requests it, along with in-house catering, massage, maid service, babysitting and activities – or the guests can do their own thing confident in the knowledge that experienced staff members are only a phone call away.”

Today, Waiheke Unlimited manages around 60 personally selected properties on the island ranging in rates from $169 to $4000+ per night and ranging from the cute cottage to a sensational architecturally designed house complete with infinity pools and temperature-controlled wine vaults. But the best news of all is that through being so firmly on the international holiday maker’s radar means Waiheke has finally made its brand of sophisticated, laid-back chic, available to YOU.
