Story

Waiheke Dive & Snorkel is a fresh new approach to your friendly local PADI dive shop!

Who

Waiheke Dive & Snorkel is owned by Adam Whatton and Pippa Griffiths. Adam has years of experience in the dive industry both here in NZ and overseas. He's a PADI IDC Staff Instructor, EFR Instructor and holds qualifications from TDI, GUE and BSAC. He's managed dive businesses, worked as an Instructor / guide and supervised customer service teams all dedicated to diving and divers.

Pippa is a PADI Divemaster and BSAC Sports Diver. She's dived all over the world from NZ's stunning Poor Knights Islands all the way to the legendary Scapa Flow in Scotland.

With all this experience you know that you're in good hands!

What

Waiheke Dive & Snorkel is a new way of approaching Scuba diving & snorkelling education and adventures! We offer genuine PADI courses for both SCUBA and snorkelling 7 days a week, with fun dives and trips running all year round. We even run overseas epic adventures to dive some of the most incredible locations the world has to offer!

We're a very environmentally conscious business. We run our activities to have minimum environmental impact and this influences our decisions at all levels all the way down to choosing bio-degradable tape for marking our cylinders as full! We are "100% AWARE", which is an awesome initiative from PADI and Project AWARE. This means that you an be confident that some of your course fees are going directly to conservation efforts and, as a bonus, you'll get a cool limited edition certification card rather than the standard one!

At the moment, the retail side of our company is purely online, hence the 'semi physical' description! This means that you can buy your gear from us 24/7 and get the latest updates on your order, but also you have the reassurance that we are real people who love diving as much as you do! We offer free delivery to anyone on Waiheke, for any order, and we give free shipping to any other order over $100, NZ wide!

We're so real in fact, that some of the worlds biggest SCUBA and snorkelling brands are working with us! We are authorised NZ dealers for Scubapro for scuba gear and Mares for snorkelling and water sports equipment. We offer overnight cylinder filling and can happily arrange all your tank testing and servicing needs.

Where

Located on the stunning Island of Waiheke, just a scenic 35 min ferry ride from Auckland CBD. Our team of PADI Instructors run try dives, PADI courses and snorkelling and diving activities daily from the Island! We usually meet our customers at the chosen beach location for our activities, but we can often help arrange carpooling so if you're coming over on the ferry, just let us know and I'm sure we can help!
