Highly recommend Ross and his kayak/ SUP hire. He’s friendly and helpful, especially with beginners and kids. We also went out for a sail around a visiting cruise ship in the harbour. Great prices, great equipment and friendly. One of the best experiences on Waiheke

Great afternoon kayaking from Oneroa to Matiatia. Highlights were the crystal water revealing the sealife on the underwater cliffs of the many reefs, great views of the million dollar homes and their boats, and the beautiful Hauraki islands spread out across the horizon. Amazing to be so close to the Auckland CBD. Ross was super helpful, knew the route down to the last reef, and the boats were great. Thanks for an awesome afternoon's paddling, team!

My husband and I just spend a beautiful day discovering the coastline of Waiheke Island by kayak. Ross provided us with a warm welcome, and detailed instructions and 2 maps describing the route we would take for our four-hour adventure. The scenery was spectacular and we enjoyed the stops that he suggested including a climb up to a lookout I did twice because I forgot my sunglasses at the top. Our equipment was excellent and thanks to Ross we knew how to use it. We were lucky to experience a sunny day with 15 km/hour winds. Ross sussed us up really well and knew what we could handle, and he also knew the tides. He went above and beyond ferrying us back on our one-way trip which started at Mataitai Bay and ended at Oneroa Beach. We had a bit of extra time and he also recommended a great walk for us, pointing out tracks and attractions we would have otherwise missed.

We had a fabulous morning adventure kayaking around Matiatia bay and up to Ray Is. A beautiful way to spend the morning as a family. The kayaks were great - in very good condition. Ross was super helpful and knowledgeable about Waiheke - we got lots of great tips for the rest of our stay too ! Highly recommend it.

What a brilliant experience! My family and I decided to go stand-up paddle boarding during our last visit to Waiheke. Ross supported my kids and me, explaining technique and style and ensuring that we were safe and confident in the water. Both my children 9 & 11 were standing up and zooming around in no time, largely thanks to Ross’s helpful and hilarious guidance. After we had finished, he took us out on the ‘Paddy’, his beautiful red sailboat. What a joy to be out on the water with such a personable, knowledgeable and generous guide, enjoying the Waitemata and the beauty of Waiheke. On the downside, both my children are now begging me to buy a sailboat. Thanks for today, Ross. It is now a lovely family memory for us.

Ross is a very nice owner who takes his time for the customers. After a kajak tour on a sunny friday, he played a game with us! We 3 guys from Germany directly noticed that he enjoys running his business and sharing his stories.

Hired a kayak for two hours and it was wonderful! Even saw a seal. Also got some great tips about where to go in NZ.

An old rude racist operates this centre. It is never funny to make joke of others’ nationality, looks, bodies. He cannot stop talking even though my wife and I feel uncomfortable and try to stop him. Besides, he will throw back your credit card to you if you pay by card. How uneducated he is! I will never recommend any of my friends who want to kayak here. Worst experience I’ve ever had in Auckland and New Zealand.
