Wonderful facility, Stratford can rightly be proud. Staff are all great. I have to say the lifeguards are all doing a great job. Especially the one I have seen named and supposedly shamed. I was witness to the incident with the babies. I was a bit gobsmacked with the adults lying them on one of the floats and no one holding them. In defense of the lifeguard, her job is to be watching what is going on in the water, she is rightly serious about pool safety. Great swimming and fitness instructors, I'll be making the most of the facility.
Absolutely flawless. Perhaps the best public swimming pool I have ever been to. Helpful friendly staff, clean, great facilities, and very good value for money. Couldn't ask for more.
Great venue...only problem was Google not updated for opening hours during Xmas Season. Website was updated, but not Google - and so 4 hour opening time difference quite the frustration.
Hi today me and my babies visited the pools for their first time ever swimming img with my sister and her baby, and as soon as we walked through the door to the actual pool area we were given a major stink eye from one of the lifeguards Hayley I think her name was. Moved on and didn’t think much else of it. I had twins so they switched after about an hour when I left to go switch them out she was giving the death stare to my sister who was doing nothing wrong whatsoever. When I returned with my other twin my sister was very put off and left not long after due to being quite uncomfortable. I then took my baby into the larger pool with me, which we were doing with my sisters baby and my other twin and no lifeguard had a problem with it and we were putting them up on the floor/pool edge from the pool and letting them come down again while still being held of course and this was fine. But when she came on and it was just me and my baby she called me out rudely and told me to take my baby of the edge because I didn’t know what might happen??? I was holding her and she was fine and no one else had a problem until her which she could’ve been nicer about it if it truly was a problem. Anyway I shortly left after that because I was very disgusted in her behaviour towards my family and I. This was my twins first time swimming and this has completely ruined my experience with them and my memories will now only be of her behaviour. I was going to bring them here for lessons so was getting a feel of the place but after this display of employee behaviour I’m thinking otherwise. The only plus is that Lucy at the front desk was very kind.
The star I rate isn't even deserved considering the behavior of Hayley the 'lifeguard' shown to my daughters. What should have been a nice outing was made unpleasant by this individual.nFirst time swim for my youngest daughter and her twins, a memory that should have been amazing made uncomfortable from death stares, spoken to rudely about an issue none of the other life guards had AND said to her when my eldest daughter left the facility thats bordering on bullying Not a nice thing to take away for a first swim with her babies.nIt didn't stop there. She was equally as rude to my eldest daughter of whom she knows from 20 odd years back and has some personal grievance from early teens. This was also my daughters first swim with my grandson and she also has no intention of returning.nBoth my daughters intended to put their babies into swimming lessons at the Stratford facility but after that are both put off and will register elsewhere.nI feel sorry for anyone else that may have had negative interactions with Hayley as it's far from a good look, its unprofessional and disgusting! Grow up!!!nnHowever they did both agree that Lucy on reception was lovely.
