This was not a post I wanted to make but I haven’t been able to get anywhere personally with Wai o Rua - Stratford Aquatic CentrennThis has to be the most disappointing experience from a company. We go swimming here every weekend with family, we have done this for about 2 years.nnIn july, I was approached by a creep in the changing rooms and called a slag 3 times. I did not know this man what so ever.nnCorey approached this man and this man assaulted Corey inside the swimming facility.nThis was reported to the staff and the man was asked to leave and the next weekend we went we were informed that the man had been trespassed, and corey told police he would like to charge him with assault.nnWe thought that was done.nnFew weeks went by and we went back to swimming as to be honest it was comfortable and we we not comfortable going for a while, anyway as we went in we seen this same man swimming, this entire time I have had my 2 year old with me witnessing everything. I told staff about the man being there and they said they had no grounds to trespass him.nnThe assault was caught on camera but when I spoke to the police Wai O Rua wouldn’t handle over the footage. I got zero outcome from this.nnSo I went and emailed the head head manager to see what we could do, they basically said sorry but the pools are a public place for everyone and we won’t be trespassing him even though what he did and was charged with assaultnnThis place has condoned, sexual harassment, verbal assault and physical assault inside their poolnnThis is disgusting behaviour towards a family who was assaulted on your grounds, you have done nothing to make anyone feel safe, you have no taken any accountability for what happened basically brushed it off and said if any other problems arise let us know.nnWhat a joke this place has become sadly, no safety in place nothing. A complete let down for the Stratford community.nnThis place has literally condone physical and verbal abuse and sexual abuse. THIS IS NOT OKAY
The start was good. The reception staff told about pools to use as it was my daughter’s first time. We were told to use paddle pool and plash area. My daughter wanted a toy to play with. So went and asked the lifeguard to use the noodle to swim. As soon as she came over to paddle pool area as lifeguard old lady came over and took it away saying you can't play with that. As it might break. There were others in the pool playing with noodles but did not say anything. Not happy with her behavior. Also no signs are there to say you can't play with them. Then another thing. They should place age limit for pools there were 2 boys in paddle pool that were taking over the whole area, and they were not the age for it. Were having wrestling no one came n told them to move to correct pool. The toddlers could not use the pool until they left.nnWas thinking of sending my daughter here for swimming lessons but changing my mind now. Horrible and pathetic service.
Bloody awesome Aqua pump class with Hayley on a Wednesday morning!! She keeps us motivated, changes it up often, plays great music and you feel like you have had a great all body workout
Wow, this is a great pool. The water quality is very good, clear water. Good lane space for swimming laps. Really nice facility. Warmer separate pools for the young kids and group exercise class. Very impressed with the facility.
Wonderful facility, Stratford can rightly be proud. Staff are all great. I have to say the lifeguards are all doing a great job. Especially the one I have seen named and supposedly shamed. I was witness to the incident with the babies. I was a bit gobsmacked with the adults lying them on one of the floats and no one holding them. In defense of the lifeguard, her job is to be watching what is going on in the water, she is rightly serious about pool safety. Great swimming and fitness instructors, I'll be making the most of the facility.
