I had my Full Licence test at VTNZ Silverdale on 27 October. I was very nervous, but my female examiner KK toy kindly reassured me by saying, “It’s OK.” She was professional, fair, and very supportive. I really appreciate her kindness and professionalism. Thank you!
Friendly people a relatively isolated area, all services there highly recommended
I had a great experience during my practical driving test. Kanwalpreet was calm, professional, and gave clear directions, which helped me feel at ease throughout the test. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.
VTNZ Silverdale is the most incompetent establishment I have ever encountered. My son failed his restricted driving test here for the fourth time. The Instructors he has had are all consistently inconsistent with the marking process. The first time he failed he hardly made it that far as he was instantly failed due to another car hooning at speed around a corner as he was pulling out and the instructor said he was responsible. Of course we told him to take even more caution with the next test. Even his driving instructor went with him in the next test as a support person and said he couldn’t understand why they failed him on what they had. We work on Forge rd so these roads are not unfamiliar to him at all. Third test he failed even though he aced the the two mock tests he sat the two days leading to the test! So on the fourth we installed cameras and guess what.. yet another fail for apparently pulling out on a car, to which we watched the footage once we got home and no he did not pull out too late there was ample time and it was an absolutely safe manoeuvre. This branch must just be making their quota by giving out a certain amount of fails. I am all for safe driving and taking responsibility as well as accountability on the rd but after we put the cameras in it had been made apparent what this dishonest branch is up to. Do your kids a favour and avoid these dishonest scammers!!!
Finally a good experience. This is my 4th or 5th VTNZ warrant and I use them because I trust the inspection processes. Previously some of my experiences with vehicle inspectors has been awful and any attempt to question or clarify was met with opposition or dismissiveness - even when two inspectors gave me conflicting advice while standing next to each other! This time however, I had a solid experience and the experience I had hoped for - even though my car failed! There are different vehicle inspectors working here from the last time I came through, they approach you first, they’re generally friendly and for a WoF, I nearly had a good time! nnThe team on the desk were, as always, fantastic and helpful.
