Recently took my full license test and my testing officer, Matt was absolutely fabulous. He was super kind and answered all my questions at the start and made sure I was clear on everything before we began, obviously quiet during the test but at the end when he told me I passed he seemed genuinely pleased for me. I think a lot of testing officers could learn from his attitude especially as usually people are quite stressed taking their test. 10/10 recommend Matt
Honestly dislike going there. Never had a good experience. Receptionist is impolite and spends more time speaking than working. Licensing closes at 4pm, went in at 3:39, got halfway through the form at the counter then at 3:46 got told licensing was closed for the day, without reasonable cause. Lousy standards and unpleasant to deal with.
Had a great testing experience with Dave, who gave clear instructions, constructive feedback and a friendly attitude. Unfortunately the previous testing officer I had, Kanwalpreet K, was the direct opposite with regards to the above. It would be great if VTNZ could ensure more consistent standards with regards to practical tests.
Based on the reviews of others and my daughter’s experience I would suggest that you request a different tester if you have Lisa for your drivers license test.nLisa failed my daughter on her full license test for not stopping on an amber light in contradiction to the road code. The fact was that the light changed to amber as she entered into the intersection with cars following close behind thereby making it impossible for her to stop safely.nShe got Lisa for the resit and she nearly failed for stopping safely at a pedestrian crossing to allow a mother and child to cross. Again in contradiction of the road code Lisa reckoned she should have carried on through the crossing.nIt would appear that Lisa needs to read the road code and be assessed.
Hi, for those who are interested to come here for the driving test. I have a brief story to share.nI was here today with my partner for the test, the angry looking Indian woman tester failed my partner for assuming I said something in the test. Then she refused to provide us with her name, yelled at me and pushed me out of her way. Seems like she doesn’t like her job, working in Aotearoa like the way she had it back home.nThe Indian dude who said he was the manager didn’t helped with the complaint at all, instead he argued and blamed me for everything. I was at VTNZ Silverdale, But the Indian crew delivered me with the non NZ experience.nThey will definitely reply on this comment and say something to cover up, be your own judgement.
