The team at VTNZ Porirua are amazing and super helpful!nnI came in to do my full license test today but I was told that I would need an eyesight certificate to do my test without glasses/ lens as I have a conditional license.I have done a laser eye surgery last year so I no longer use prescription glasses or lens. The reception team helped me with applying for a temporary license without condition after a quick eye test so that I can still make my full license test. The entire process only took less than 10mins! Super thankful for the team’s efficiency so that I don’t need to rebook the test:
I sat my restricted licence test at VTNZ Porirua and had an amazing experience. As nerve-wracking as these tests can be, my testing officer made me feel calm and focused throughout the drive. Their professional yet reassuring approach really helped ease my anxiety. The whole team — from reception to the testing officers — was supportive, friendly, and understanding. I would highly recommend sitting your practical test here!
They move with the speed of your average glacier and if you need a recheck expect to have to wait for over an hour to be seen. 7 techs in the bay 2 full lanes and maybe 3 actually working.nnWon't be coming back and recommend you look elsewhere for a WOF.
Sat my test a few weeks ago, Lui was awesome! Super clear instructions, friendly and reassuring. Everyone at VTNZ was also super lovely would 100% recommend.
I wouldn’t recommend a driving test with Sylvia, I noticed she wasn’t paying attention to my signalling and checking mirrors. It is shocking how many minuscule ‘mistakes’ she claimed I made. Her demeanour was rude and made me feel horrible about my driving and myself which is entirely unfair as a learner driver who just wants some feedback without judgement. If you are to book here, I would recommend driving with Wiremu as a friend of mine said he was the kindest and understanding to those taking their test. While I was voicing my opinion on the phone, I felt unheard and silenced by Sarah. I was trying to express how badly I felt after my test which was entirely dismissed and biased, not a good way to handle the situation.
