Went in for a simple wof re-check, needed tyre tread checked and and a reflecter placed at the rear of the vehicle, both of which had been completed before the re check. When i walked in there was no mention about how long the wait would be. I waited for 1hr 45mins before I had to leave to get back to work and didnt get the recheck done, so have to go back. People who showed up for wof checks 30mins after i arrived were getting their wofs done before me. When i explained i needed to leave to get back to work after waiting 1hr 45mins and could someone please check the tread on the tyres, there was no apology or explaination, just that i'd need to be back for the recheck before the due date... I'd prefer to pay for a complete wof recheck somewhere else at this point, I think. Useless. If they'd told me it would be a 2hour wait when I arrived I would have happily come back another time. I will not be giving these guys any more business.
Big shoutout to Ashleigh R, the driving test officer I had today—what a legend! From the moment I got in the car, she was friendly, professional, and had a great sense of humour that instantly put me at ease. What could have been a super stressful experience actually turned out to be calm and even a little fun!nnHer clear instructions and relaxed vibe made a huge difference, and I’m stoked to say I passed! Thanks again, Ashleigh R, for making the whole process such a positive one.
I took the test a total of 2 times and was happy to pass the second time under Ashleigh's direction. Got Full license. ashleigh is a friendly best person. Commanded clearly. And emphasized what to look for after the test. So much better compared to the first experience. Thank you Ashleigh.
VTNZ Nelson you rock, I had a student ready to take their driving test this morning and on checking the brake lights one was out, we couldn’t figure out how to get the lens out, and Dale from VTNZ came out to the rescue, did it all and changed the bulb no problem! Very poor customer service argumentative and condescending from man named Dale. It was a paperwork issue, not the vehicle which tested fine. For a VTNZ internal concern, a customer should not be treated like that. After querying with NZTA I had to return a 2nd time to get them to sort out paperwork. A man named Ashley was very helpful.
