I recently had the pleasure of taking my driving test with Ms. Heather at VTNZ Mt. Maunganui. From the moment the test began, she demonstrated a keen eye for the nuances of driving, ensuring every aspect was thoroughly assessed. Despite my initial nerves, Ms. Heather's pleasant demeanor and kind interactions helped put me at ease, allowing me to perform to the best of my abilities. After the test, she was proactive in providing constructive feedback on ways to improve, which I found incredibly valuable. Her professionalism, coupled with her ability to make candidates feel comfortable, truly sets her apart. I would gladly give her a ten out of ten as a professional in her field, and I’m thrilled to say that I passed the test!
2-hour wait on the first check, then went for a recheck and had to wait another nearly 3 hours. Only one lane was open, there was no recheck line. No one asked if I was there for a recheck to possibly free up the line since it went out onto the road, blocking traffic coming into the self-car wash area. Went at 2pm first day and 11am the next. If your heading here I recommend taking a half day off work and something to entertain yourself.
My son sat his restricted yesterday. The woman taking him was so chatty and lovely.... better that what I had back in my day! I also heard the male instructor chatting away to another guy, so nice to see friendless over intimidation
Great service, very warm and accommodating. Waiting time while in the queue is reasonable. Has enough seat in the waiting area, with water despenser and a clean toilet. Wide parking space also.
I have had a bad experience with Heather B. She’s absolutely rude and racist I can say this because she kept failing me for no reasons at all but also She has done the same with other people not only me. The day of my test she was very racist making comments about why she likes to fail foreign people because of language barriers. My test started at 8:30 I arrived on site at 0800 am and I was told to wait on my car. I waited til 0835 am and Heather “my instructor” came really upset and start knocking my car window yelling at me that why I was not waiting inside and why I am so late. She didn’t even listen to me and she asked me to open the door of my car very rudely.nnShe was absolutely disgusting when I tried to explain I was early and I was waiting for her.nnShe is very impolite and no manners I felt very uncomfortable with her behaviour it has been not only one but twice already.nnAt the end she said that us people with brown skin don’t understand English and we should listen and pay more attention as she will be saying instructions only once.nnI’m really disappointed that VTNZ doesn’t realise that people like her with unconscious bias can cause a lot of damage and make people uncomfortable with such comments.nnI hope you take further actions because I will definitely present a formal complaint:
