Cabinet bars and cakes are good but have had pretty average cooked food when we visit, which isn't often. Coffee is just so-so. I think if they provided decent hot food maybe we'd come back but when we can make better food at home we'll choose that because it's cheaper.
What a cool little Cafe we got there to late as the kitchen was closed so had food from cabinet home made wow awesome the staff or owners just amazing were coming back for sure . Guys ho for a drive head to Clark's Beach and give these guys ago stop in say hi have coffee have something to eat you won't be disappointed. On ya guys see you soon.
I had the sweet waffles and they are absolutely phenomenal, they helped me unlock new chambers of flavour in my mouth which i thought were unthinkable and the portion, my goodness, enough to feed a hungry warrior after a big battle.
Very disappointed. My wife and I sat in for lunch 7 Aug and ordered the big breakfast and creamy mushrooms. The Big breakfast turned out to be a Small breakfast with minimal portions of egg, bacon, croquettes and two small chicken sausages. The creamy mushrooms consisted of approx 4 or 5 small button mushroom sliced finely and spread over 3 pieces of bread to make it appear more. We both left feeling hungry. Coffee was good. It was also unfortunate to overhear the cook chastising the girl on the counter and the F bomb being dropped. As a local we won't be back or be recommending this cafe anytime soon. Addendum - WOW ... see the owners response to my review !! We have never reviewed this café before so clearly the response is an indication of the owners mindset.
Ridiculously expensive food & drinks! The taste is good, not something extraordinary. But the worst part is that they are out of most food by 1pm most of the time. That's insane! At least have food till like 3 or 4pm like most cafes. The ONLY reason this place has so many positive reviews is cause this is the ONLY local cafe. People really don't have a choice. But if you're from any other part of Auckland or NZ or the rest of the world stopping by, STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE. It's really not worth it. That's me being 100% honest In response to your reply: Yes! Your Cafe is more expensive than others. A regular chocolate milkshake costs $4.5 at most cafes, yours is $6.5~$7.5! I never said other cafes have filled cabinet food till closing time. But they are willing to make a fresh panini or sandwich for you if they are out of stock. YOUR staff on the other hand can't even be bothered to ask for the same. They just keep saying "sorry, that's for tomorrow"! Even a whole HOUR before closing time! That's just lazy, not something to be proud of! And yes, the closest Cafe to you is in Clark's Beach about 6km away. I wouldn't call it local exactly. Have you ever been to towns, where they have cafes literally next to each other or right across the street?? That's local. All the houses around that fuel station you're located next to, only have you as their option. I still stand by my review of your "Vintage" cafe! Additional info: As anyone with a brain can see from the other negative reviews, all is not as it seems and the owners of this café are definitely not NICE people. They only reply on this platform, when someone calls them out, but in reality, they don't really care about owning up to their mistakes.
Very friendly workers and service.Food has very good proportions and is very well priced, my tastebuds were left feeling very satisfied. I will definitely be coming back!!

Exceptional coffees and food selection. The home baked cakes and slices are amazing. Ohhhh, yummmmy!! Excellent friendly, quick service with a SMILE. What more could you want. I can't wait to go back.
Fantastic cafe with great food, coffee and service. Ordered a breakfast with the family, so so good and the coffee was spot on too. Would highly recommend you drop by, have a cuppa and a bite to eat.
Great coffee and service. Attractive food display. Plenty of papers to read instead of just one for whole cafe. Top marks for that!!!
