Lovely venue, comfy seating. Sound and projection setup wasn't great for Sorted Food loud but not clear. But the biggest issue was that it was cold. Even with a t-shirt, Christmas jumper, thick hoodie and overcoat I was cold at times.
Great space! I’ve been here a few times now, for sample sales and to see the live recording of a podcast. The door staff are super friendly, and the space itself is really versatile. Only niggler is the poor mobile phone reception if you attend an event in the basement.
Great place and beautifully maintained. Nicely located in Shoreditch. We enjoyed Hamlet on a Sunday afternoon. Would highly recommend.
Bar staff are absolute garbage. Had to sit through show without a drink as they shut bat whilst I was in ridiculously long queue because their bar staff were so bad.
Visited for ARG festival since 2017, every year except for Covid. Great vintage building, kind of a Budapest ruin bar vibe. Does suffer from poor airflow so gets sweaty easily with crowds. All told, never had a bad experience here but you need to calibrate your expectations. Recommended for festivals
Great venue that I've traditionally come for sample sales with cloakroom. Now also used as a theatre space in the basement as far as I'm aware. There's also a bar but it's £10 minimum if paying by card !
No sign of disability access here but nonetheless a beautiful example of Victorian civic architecture. The town hall is a theatre and a good one it is too.
Shoreditch Town Hall is a lovingly restored building perfect for functions. It is easily accessible via public transport and has great facilities within it. I attended with my daughter and we had a lovely time at an event.
Been here over many years for various different, diverse events. A beautiful space, even the toilets feel grand. The more it used the less it's risk of compromise so do check the website and attend events. Here's a photo from the swing ball we were at last Friday. Seeing Kandace Springs there next! :-
Staff conference really nice but the venue was a bit cold
