Story

Cultivating common ground

This is a passion of mine and the reason why I am developing Village Green Consulting. In my years working with Business and Technology I have seen it again and again; near misses in connecting and understanding what the key drivers are for each other. Passionate people in both groups, all with a desire for the company to succeed, talking foreign languages to one another.

The sad result is often system evolution that is missing the mark. All for want of clear understanding of the context and true priorities.

It is in this area that I have been adding value to my clients. It is the area that I feel passionate about resolving. There is common ground in desires and skills, common ground in goals even, but it is not realised. This is most visible in the Business-Technology divide, but I have also dealt with it between technology groups and product development groups.

It is to help business and technology find this alignment and to establish a way to work collaboratively, that Village Green Consulting was formed.
