Delicious pies, pastries with a good selection to choose from. We bought four, plus a sausage roll. Man they were good!! Highly recommended, we will be back. Grab a good cuppa coffee while you're there and take a seat outside to enjoy. Their birthday cakes looked fresh and the breads looked superb. That's next on our list to try, we will be back and keep up the awesomeness Viands, now that I've tried your delicious pies, I understand why your shop is so popular. Thanks again to all the staff there.
As a Hamilton East local, I'm more than delighted to have Viands in the mix of our hectic hospitality precinct. I arranged for Viands to box up 50 or so sweet treats for a birthday party. They boxed and also sliced up some pieces for the occasion without any added cost. I think the prices of their products is bloody good considering the rising cost for all their ingredients. They are also generous with the sizes. We can't expect 80s or 90s prices. For comparison, the Viands custard slice is $5 while Volare's across the road is $9. As for the treats themselves, they are moreish and the classics definitely invoke that sense of nostalgia. Viands eclairs are a favourite but be warned they are addictive. The service at the Hamilton East shop is always cheerful and the comms were top notch re catering for an event. Keep being quality Viands. Thanks heaps
Very friendly and helpful staff. The guy who served us was enthusiastic and knowledge, and happy to make recommendations.nThe food was good too. Generous serving sizes and quality ingredients.nWe sat outside and I think this was the worst part about it, the outdoor seating is close to the road.nOverall it's worth stopping at, especially if you can find a park.
The food is just spectacular! Generous portions and what a selection. We always stop in here on a bike run. One of THE best bakeries ever!!
Purchased a mince and cheese pie. Initially pastry was nice to bite into. The flavour of the mince was not the nicest, very fatty with large balls of dry mince. I squeezed the mince out and ate the pastry. Bit disappointing. The amount of staff in store was to much for the amount of product and customers. Would go again if desperate otherwise do not recommend.
