Couldn't recommend the team at Verve Real highly enough! We used them for our wedding a few days ago and all of our guest raved about the buffet meal! Especially the chicken! The communication from both Nicky and Kerryn was so smooth and we always knew where we were at in regards to preparing for the day. The team on the day were so lovely and welcoming! We couldn't have picked a better vendor to go with for our day! We also chose the grazing desert board and the only disappointment I had was that I should have ordered it for more people as it flew off the table! Definitely recommend using these guys for any event
Verve Catering was absolutely perfect for our father's Celebration of Life at The Vines Club last week. Nicky had great ideas as we tweaked the afternoon tea menu. On the day Nicky and her team were just fabulous - nothing was a problem as they helped us add our own touches to the set up. There was also no rush to leave and the food was delicious - everything super fresh and nicely presented. Many people commented on how fabulous they were. Thanks Nicky - you helped make our send-off for Dad special.
My partner and I got married in February 2024. We can absolutely recommend Nicky and her amazing team of friendly and helpful staff. On the day we didn't even have to think or worry about our food once. It was ready on time, as discussed and all smelt and tasted absolutely divine. Our guests all complimented the food and that it was a great selection of flavours. The team were well presented and had smiles on at all times. All of our friends and family dietary requirements were easily catered too without a fuss. Any couple planning a wedding should consider Verve, we believe their packages are great value for money. We look forward to using Verve and/or Spitroast their sister Company again for any future events we may host!
Nicky and the wonderful team at Verve catered for our wedding at Grasmere Lodge. We can't begin to thank them enough for how fantastic the food was. We have had several guests tell us that it was the best wedding food they've ever had. Nicky was excellent to deal with right from the outset - she took the time to listen to all of our ideas and then helped us develop a menu that we were really happy with. We'd definitely recommend paying the slight extra big of $ for the wine cooked beef - it was delicious! Overall, we are extremely happy with our decision to go with Verve and we'd highly recommend them to others.
The absolute best catering and service you could ask for. Nicky and her team were just incredible at what they do from the first meeting with Nicky right up until the end of the night at our wedding. The food was absolutely delicious and presented so beautifully. The guests at our wedding are still raving about incredible everything was. Thank you so much again team Verve.
Nicky and her team were an absolute dream catering our wedding at a private venue. She was responsive to emails, and so calm and caring on the day. Her team worked seamlessly to make our day just flow. The food was incredible, and we cannot recommend Verve enough!

Nicky and the team at VERVE catered for our wedding of 66 people in March 2024 at LaceBark Function Centre, Christchurch. Canapes, a buffet main and hand made desserts were the order of the day. Organisational team was easy to engage with and the food was fantastic - beyond our expectations. Absolutely 100% recommend VERVE.
We had a fantastic experience working with Nicki and her team for my wee boy’s first birthday. The food was sumptuous and loved by guests of all age group - Broccoli-Parmesan soup and the spinach -ricotta cannelloni was an absolute smasher that had people coming back for multiple servings. Loved how everything was plated and served. Nicki was always so responsive and willing to change things up multiple times till we were satisfied - Verve is definitely going to be our go to caterers for any event in the future. The food was delicious and I was happy with how it complimented the meats and breads we had at our wedding. Unfortunately it wasn’t noted that we had to drop gear back off the next day, but that’s ok. I would definitely recommend verve food in the future, the Thai noodle salad was an absolute favourite of mine!!
