Van Roon Martial Arts is Auckland’s premier Taekwondo gym and home of 11x World Champion Carl van Roon.

Story

Carl van Roon is a New Zealand Martial Artist and Performance coach who is most well known for his success in competitve ITF Taekwon-Do.
While he has represented NZ overseas in several combat sports, his results in ITF Taekwon-Do place him as one of the sport's most successful International competitors produced in the past decade.
He is currently based in Auckland, New Zealand, and travels frequently to compete and conduct seminars Internationally.

Auckland's best martial arts gym, without a doubt. The instructors are amazing and really push the students to their full potential. Grading and tournaments are fully supported. The space is clean, spacious and very well run. My son has thrived here over the last few years.
VRMA is an amazing Martial Arts Gym. It caters for all age groups and skill levels. I find the coaches and instructors skilled ,Knowledgeable, Discipline, and wanting to get the best out of each student no matter what skill level. The selection of martial Art disciplines range from International TaeKwon Do,kickboxing grassroots, K1, mixed Martial Arts. Sparring squads for competition, Strength and Conditioning class. Tricking class in all age groups to chose from competing, just for fitness, learn a self defence skill to high performance athlete training. The facilities are clean , Tidy with a main training area then also a training area upstairs.own weights gym room for personal training available. The staff are welcoming, energetic, passionate, knowledgeable and inviting to help you achieve your goals. Thank-you Van Roon Marital Arts I am enjoying my journey and never have I been fitter and achieving lots.

Van Roon Martial Arts is a fabulous place for training Taekwondo, Kickboxing and Tricking etc. My daughter has enjoyed her training for more than 3 years which has helped her foster a strong love for Taekwondo and become braver, more independent and perseverant. The incredibly talented coaches there not only set high standards for skills but also provide a friendly and welcoming environment - highly recommended.

I can't recommend VRMA enough! The instructors are just amazing with young kids. Our 4yo has previously been quite shy, and seeing his confidence increase to the point where he's now happy to do loud kihaps and put up his hand to answer questions... it makes me smile every time.
Today is Kathy’s 12th class. Finally she could join by herself. Thanks the two young coaches. They are so patient with Kathy and me. I was feel so upset and want to give up in the middle. Because we are always no patient.But it was a big improvement for both me and Kathy. We both had a good lessons. Be patient and work together.thanks again for your team.
