Thank you Phil Janine and team for your sensitivity, caring and support in steering our family down the tough road of grief for our mum Helen. Your professionalism was second to none but more than that, you were thé glue that held us together in our time of extreme sadness.
I lost my best friend and soul mate David in April. You guys not only gave me the voice I needed to say what I wanted but above all you showed me love and compassion to myself and my kids. At the service everyone said they didn't get up and speak because you did such an amazing job that everything was said. The venue the refreshments were fantastic. You gave my hunny his last day in style with love and I can never thank you enough. Love mags and family x
Today I participated in a tribute to a long-standing member of my home-town community. For many, the thought of holding a funeral during lock-down has struck such an emotional reaction. But what your team facilitated for this family was as fitting; as sensitive; as celebratory and dignified as the conditions allowed. While I wasn't sitting in the same room as the ceremony, the sensitive sharing of stories was enjoyed by all via an online link. The reassurance of beautifully chosen words had the required impact on my emotional journey, and I loved hearing the stories of our loved-one's life as I would normally have in a funeral, often times from relatives or friends one may have never met otherwise, or not seen in a long time. So, thank you to your team for enabling the collective human-heart to beat even under such difficult restrictions. A beautiful tribute and task well done.
We would like to acknowledged the superb level of support received following mum's passing. It is appreciated that you took time to co-ordinate with family members both nationally & internationally as arrangements were made in the initial days. Thank you for accommodating the impromptu office visits & phone calls whilst responding to the numerous questions posed. We were welcomed & dealt with professionally on each occasion & never made to feel a burden. Hello Bev Thank you for taking the time to compile a review. We are sorry that you were not happy with how your elderly aunt was presented. We understand that you hadn't seen her for some time and empathise with you that when someone has been unwell it can be a shock to see them later. It was heartening to hear from your family members how pleased they were with how she looked. We can assure you that only new caskets are used in our business. Our vehicle fleet are low kilometre Ford stationwagons which are well maintained and cared for. On the occasion of caring for your aunty our hearse had travelled 240 kms to get back to Whitianga. Ford stationwagons are very popular in our profession due to the length of the vehicle. We are always happy to receive feedback and reflect on where we can serve our community better. It is over a month ago that we used the Williams Funeral Services. I feel we made a very good choice as the support, empathy, information and professional guidance at this difficult and emotional time was excellent and much appreciated by our family. Would never recommend this place and have been meaning to write a review for over a year now! My Aunty Bev was a beautiful woman, even at the age of 85 when she died. I was appalled at the viewing to hardly be able to recognize her! Her make up job was horrible and no care was taken to make her look like herself. The casket could not of been new as there were many scratches and the handles looked worn- not at all what she would of wanted. Then to top it off, she was taken away in a regular older "station wagon". With all the money you make Bruce, at least go out and buy a respectful vehicle that looks like you care about the deceased!!! You certainly made alot of money from someone wbo called you "her friend".
Words can express enough, the care and support, respect and compassion, showed to our family with the loss of our Dad. The most trying time made easier with your expertise. Thank you Phil and Eion. Sincerely Lea-Anne Smith
