I have been so lucky to have the team at Upper Hutt Vets looking after both my dog Shade and myself. Shade has had a number of health issues since I got him and he’s had to have multiple surgeries and trips to Massey.nnThe team at Upper Hutt Vets has always been so caring and so devoted to looking after Shade and doing the absolute best thing for him.nnEven when he’s been at Massey I have had calls from the vets and from the vet nurses checking in and following up with me to see how things are going.nnShade can be a little be anxious when it comes to being handled by anyone that’s not me. The team have worked really hard to get Shade comfortable and have been so accommodating in figuring out the best way to treat Shade without conflict.nnI feel so lucky and grateful that we found such amazing caring people to help us through incredibly difficult times.
Riley and Margaret were fabulous, recommend them so highly. Our dog had been in and out of a different vet hospital for days, we decided to try Upper Hutt vet instead to see if they could help. Margaret saw us and truly listened and treated him, and by that night the improvement was huge. He’s just so much better now, we’re so grateful!

Excellent service from nurses to vets, all of whom displayed good knowledge of our dog's health and well being from the first visit. Not too pushy with expensive care options and treatment will come with a full write up, including before/after photos. Discharge parts were very helpful, and a refund was sorted when the vet changed the prescribed medication. There's also an excellent range of animal products, and a tank full of turtles to keep anxious masters occupied. Go here to get your animal the best care.
I have only lived in Upper Hutt for 2 years and felt a little apprehensive in finding a new vet for my Darby. I was drawn to the Upper Hutt vets even though I was ignorant about their practice or reputation, what a relief to have chosen this amazing vets. It is everything a pet owner could wish for, staff are welcoming and friendly always courteous and smiling and the vets spend time to explain all in detail, no rush to push you out of the consulting room unlike some doctors. I leave with my fur baby feeling satisfied and grateful for being a part of the Upper Hutt vets
