The Salvation Army in Upper Hutt is a church with a community ministries (social services) arm.
Our mission is to care for people, transform lives and reform society through God in Christ by the Holy Spirit's power.
We are a church that meets every Sunday morning at 10.30am at 695 Fergusson Drive in Upper Hutt. Come and join us, we'd love to see you there!
Part of our work in the community is through our Community Ministries Programme. We aim to meet peoples immediate needs, then empower them with the life skills necessary to improve their lives by connecting people to our corps/church.
With the help of volunteers we are able to help with literacy, counselling, community meals, cooking classes, budgeting, advocacy, referrals to Bridge programme and a food bank.
