Union car spares is a full automotive workshop & aftermarket four-wheel drive accessories supplier. We specialise in ARB products and are authorised parts and service providers for Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Ssangyong and LDV vehicles.

Story

We are a small local workshop but cover a large range of work. From automotive service and repairs, warrant of fitness, COF A and ARB aftermarket four-wheel drive products. We are also Northland's only authorised parts and service providers for Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Ssangyong and LDV vehicles.

We have some of the best mechanics around to perform service and repairs to your car. We do basic services right through to motor and gearbox & diff rebuilds.

We have a large range of aftermarket 4x4 accessories and with our knowledgeable staff, we can get you on the right track with all your aftermarket 4x4 needs. As well as any standard cars, utes & 4x4s

They charged me $161 for replacement wiper blades specific to my car. The same wiper blades are available for $59 online. I also put the wipers on myself, so it’s not like I was charged labour. I also paid $340 for an oil change. I made the mistake of going here as I own a Fiat. They have literally charged me $500 for an oil change and new wiper blades. A standard garage would charge about $200-$250 for this. The guy over the phone was also rude. Honestly, go elsewhere and save your money.
Certificate Of Fitness: I alerted UCS to a brake light issue when booking in for a COF and requested they fix it. I reminded them again when dropping the vehicle off a few days later. Upon picking up the vehicle, they had not fixed the lights resulting in a failed COF, the boss there mentioned it was NOT a fuse issue and recommended that I take it to a specialist auto electrician. When I did so, it turns out it WAS a simple blown fuse. The electrics technician cost me $135 when it should have cost me $2 to replace these simple parts. I then had to wait another week for the COF re-check UCS only do Mondays. UCS were not willing to make amends at all and even charged me a further $50 for the re-check fee. Never going back.

JEEP/CHRYSLER agents always great service and help had diagnostics carried out on my Chrysler 300c with window wipers not going found we needed new steering control switch, part was OEM very expensive from CHRYSLER/Fiat so opted to sell the car instead... Their workmanship is up to scratch but a few of the staff are not very friendly or helpful at all. However they’ve got some youngsters working in their garage who were awesome to deal with. Unless this is your only option wouldn’t recommend them.

Came in on last day of the year with an overheating engine. Great service, super friendly and helpful, sorted me out for a very reasonable price, would definitely recommend these guys!! Definitely know their stuff.
Always a smile and a joke. Excellent to deal with. Highly recommend. Hubby loves this place. Says they are the only mechanic that has successfully kept his 1993 Toyota Hiace diesel in tip top working order.
