Story

Ubikacja publiczna w Kawakawa - jedno z dzieł austriackiego architekta Friedensreicha Hundertwassera, umieszczone w nowozelandzkim miasteczku Kawakawa. Do projektu użyto płytek ceramicznych, które przygotowali uczniowie Bay of Islands College. Cegły użyte do jej budowy pochodziły z budowy banku Bank of New Zealand.NagrodyDzieło to otrzymało wiele nagród, m.in. certyfikat Creative Places Awards 2000.Linki zewnętrzne Hundertwasser toilets - informacje na temat ubikacji publicznych w Kawakawa

Always very clean, parking around the back is better if you also want a comfort stop rest and get something to eat from local bakery or food outlets. Very short walk, not a big town but always pretty busy, this new centre is very interesting.
We were driving through Kawkawa today and told the kids that we were going to stop to see a fancy toilet. They couldn't understand why...until they saw it! Not only is it clean and tidy, it's AMAZINGLY beautiful.
Fortunate enough to visit when there were few other tourists. Spectacular public toilets of the highest order. Definitely worth a visit.
Had to stop here of course! Brilliant architecture. A toilet that is a stunning work of art.
Definitely worth stopping in Kawakawa if you need the restroom or even if you don't! This is the one public toilet in New Zealand where it's not weird to take photos :
Awesome place friendly people and the best paua pies
Great bit of art! But if you're busting there is a newer set of toilets across the plaza at the visitors center
The most strangest attraction for Far North. But very beautiful..... for public toilets ‍
When I visited around 3 AM the original loos were locked up. But a polite notice directed me to a newer facility, a few metres away, that operates 24/7. Very modern, but echoing the original theme.
Wonderful legacy of a world famous artist. Very cool
