You should be cautious if you trust these guys to auction your vehicle. I went in to test drive a range rover last week and the guy did not know where the vehicle was parked even though I booked the day beforehand. He then rubbished the vehicle saying it was not was not a good vehicle and was "expensive to have for parts". I still wanted the test drive and said I am well aware of what type of vehicle this is politely. He then said the car wasn't Turner's and I was not to leave the yard for a proper drive. So in the end I got to drive the tank for about thirty seconds and the man had disappeared altogether. Nobody was nice here at all. I handed the keys back and left. I notice the car did sell at the auction but naturally that's because it was a desirable vehicle.
Me and my mum was so pleased with the service at Turners Christchurch. Michael went over and beyond to deliver the best customer service ever and was so polite all through our interaction. Jackie, Steve and Les were also very friendly and made us feel welcome and looked after.
Bought a car just a couple of weeks ago from the Tauranga store and got it delivered here. Visited once I got the message that the car was ready - very fast and friendly service and no hassle at all. Highly recommended and will surely do business with Turners again.
So disappointed. Never again. Went in last week looking at a hybrid, we booked a test drive and when we arrived we noticed we couldn't drive it in emode as the battery was nearly flat. We spoke to the Salesperson he apologized and we took it for a ride in normal mode then booked another drive for Saturday when he promised the battery would be charged. Went in today to be told the battery couldn't be charged as it needed a code. Would have been nice if they had rung us. So we told the Salesperson we were unhappy. His parting comment was "I hear these cars are rubbish, you probably don't want to buy it a anyway" Absolutely disgusting
I was buying the car from turners Chch last 2 months, after 2 weeks of getting my new car,my hybrid car battery having problem and they using 2-3 weeks to change the battery. After my car changed the hybrid battery,I’m asking branch manager for the proof of warranty since he say my hybrid car battery having 6 months warranty. And 3 weeks lateruntil now,I still haven’t get any response from the branch manager. What a such irresponsible branch manager ever!!! I buy a MCD also got my receipt and my hybrid car battery changed without a receipt or a proof of warranty? What will happen if the hybrid car battery dying within this 6 months? Who’s responsible for it? Such a bad service and really disappointed.
Hundreds of dollars in extra fees, make sure you read the fine print before bidding. Don’t trust their mechanical reports, have your own independent inspection before buying. Mech. report on older corolla said “light oil seepage” as you’d expect from an older car 200k kms, turns out car doesn’t leak a drop, engine spotless, but burns about 1l of oil / 200kms. I suspect they knew how spent the oil rings were, changed the oil +plugs and sold it off.
I recently purchased a diesel vehicle from Turners. When I went to pick up the vehicle from Turners they supplied me with a label of two units of RUC for my vehicle, as it's their responsibility to ensure they're up to date upon sale. This leads me to my point, the other day I went online to buy some more RUCs through NZTA but the max distance on the label Turners gave me doesn't match the max distance NZTA have on record, NZTA shows two thousand km less! So I called Turners first and they said they'd give me a call back, but they never did. I then found the number of the Turners agent who was responsible for the vehicle at the time and called him. He told me to call NZTA. After being on hold with NZTA for 25 minutes I finally got to speak to them. They said this: Turners bought RUC units for the vehicle, then changed the vehicle ownership into my name and then cancelled the label of RUCs they gave me once I already had it in my possession. NZTA said there was nothing they could do so I called the Turners agent back. He said there was no record showing up in their audit system and that Turners are not willing to resolve it. This is very disappointing given that it was a mistake on Turners behalf. I don't want to have to purchase additional RUCs that I already have! I would definitely not recommend using Turners, whether that's buying a car or auctioning one through them!! Such a headache. Unfortunately this isn't the first time I've had issues when purchasing a vehicle from them the Detroit Place branch in particular.
Recently sold a car to them for 3.5k. Then couple weeks later see it being sold for 7k. Understand that it's a car dealership so they need a profit on what they buy but a 3.5k profit seems a bit unfair on the person selling them the car.
These guys are amazing! I am from Auckland and purchased a car from them in Christchurch. They sent me a detailed video of everything, provided all info and even picked me up from the airport so I could collect the car. Once I arrived the car had been fully polished and looked amazing! I could not recommend more highly A+++++ thanks heaps :
