i have been coming here since we moved to whakatane ,the place reminds me the time i spent on honeymoon in istanbul ,very nice food and atmosphere ,my kids love the ice cream Vegetarian options: they have a very nice falafel Parking: its right middle of the town ,outside area is a great place to dine in Wheelchair accessibility: no problem ,staff were very helpfull
The environment was so good, warming-friendly service and nice Turquoise music. The owner has visited our home country and his team made us feel like we were at home too. Additionally, with reasonable prices it was a delicious lunch for the whole range of ages. Looking forward to go back!!
Love this place! owner is always so bubbly and kind, gives the best customer service and will actually happily have a proper conversation with you which makes you feel so welcomed. So glad the outside area is back in action also i used to love getting a meal and sitting out there, cant wait to do it again
Such great service and people. Came in on work smoko and forgot the card, was told not to worry and to sort it later. Came to get more fresh and delicious kai and fixed up the bill. Thank you!!!
Con Artists Ordered a double scoop of ice cream $7. The server tries to sell me other things from the cabinet which I decline. She then tries to persuade me to add more scoops, I decline. She makes the double scoop and I hand her a $20 note. She pulls out a $5 note plus a small pile of coins, looks at me sheepishly and expects me not to notice I'm massively short changed. She then recounts twice and remains with this amount before sighing heavily and asking the other till for more change. Terrible customer service, never going there again.
Was extremely disappointed with the food. My husband and I bought the large kebabs...couldn't taste any sauce they were dry and over cooked. My husband asked for 2 falafel so he could eat them separately, but without asking they were cut up and put in his kebab. We got 2 coffee's they were undrinkable, cold, black like expresso they were lattee disgusting. All this cost $52 I did not complain at the time cos my husband had taken me out for lunch and didn't want to be embarrassed. Will not be going back again!!
I usually don't write any feedback, but this did not run down okay. We did wait for ages. 2 groups ordered after us but were served first. After 45mins waiting, I had the wrong order. They added hummus even if I asked specifically not to add any, and it was written on my order. The staff wasn’t very friendly when we addressed the no hummus issue. We asked for the money back for that kebab, and they didn’t give us the right amount back either. Very disappointed.
