Food was better than I expectednCosy atmosphere, a small but warm stove in the middle of the canteennThe lamb shank was soft and tasty, the bbq chicken pizza was delicious too.
They should change the name of this place to The Highwayman.nThe bar staff could dress appropriately with a black mask on and when anyone approaches the bar instead of asking what would you like they should say, Stand and Deliver.n$26 for a jug of beer.nDaylight robbery !nNever again.
A nice place to eat while you are in Turangi. Food is really good although a tad bit pricey. Also a nice range of different drinks, both alchoholic and non-alcholic.nnAtmosphere is good but not great.nStaff felt a bit reticent, not eager to help and a bit of a cold attitude.
Great food. Got the open steak sandwich $30, Penne pasta $32, and kids meal ham cheese pizza $16. All the meals were great and came out really quick.
Save your money and don’t eat here. The lamb shanks were rock hard and the fish and chips were inedible as you can see from the picture. When we let the counter staff know about the fish, the manager said that was the grain of the fish I know what fish is supposed to look like and when asked if she would eat it the response was yes, no care at all. The fish and chips was $32… prices are ridiculous.
