We stopped here for a snack, but it was so crowded because there were two bus loads of people in there also. The line was very long and moved very slowly. Although I could tell the staff was doing their best, it took a while. Not a lot of food to choose from in the cabinet because of the big crowd. The chicken quiche we ordered was delicious. Not very many places to sit because of the big crowd so had to sit outside in the wind and cold.
Stopped for a break stop.nToilets cleannAtmosphere and food great.nBut sadly the coffee was awful...could not drink it.nIt tasted burnt and bitter.nAdvise that the machine is cleaned ...which could rectify the problem.
The. Mini pie meat bore a resemblance to whiskas cat food . Could not eat anymore of it after one bite. The date scone was rather disappointing; no nice chunky bits of date on the inside just peppered with drops of date as if rationing . Quite deceiving by appearance.nOverall very expensive. Definitely would not go there again .
This was the lunch stop on my coach journey from the Far North to Auckland.nThe loos were clean and there are lots of them so no waiting.nThe food was very reasonably priced and good options if your GF. The roast pork looked amazing so will defo consider stopping here when time allows.nStaff were friendly and efficient.nCoffee was great.
Older but comfortably appointed and clean rooms at a reasonable price. The cafe has an excellent breakfast menu. Staff are very friendly and helpful! This is a great place to stop overnight if you're traveling to the Northland and you want to be out of Auckland. I only wish I could have picked some of the little oranges!
