The pies are actually insane. I haven't been a big fan of pies in a long time but this pie was something else. Very good pastry work, very great filling that didn't spill out and just an all around, low key hit.nnIt might just be the best pie I've had in recent memory which includes lots of gourmet pies that just don't have this level of pastry and filling combo.nnI also got a roast pork roll with just gravy- amazing again.nnNot sure how this spot isn't more well known.
We stopped in here for lunch today 16th November 2025. Service with a smile and welcome at the counter is what the team need to provide.nWe sat outside. It's a disgrace. Bird poo on all the tables and chairs and the furniture needs to be burnt and new provided. The outside area needs water blasting summer is nearly here so get into gear and make this space relaxing and inviting. Weed the garden put some love into the place. A coach pulled in for lunch and guests sat on the poo chairs. Not hygienic at all. Do something before the health inspectors visit. One of the toilets is blocked. Not good... Lucky to get 1 star
Sad to say that customer service not good. Four of us visited today when the cafe was empty and the welcome was a frosty stare. We stayed an hour and in that time 2 other patrons including a tourist bus driver made comments to the staff about their attitudes. A smile and friendly welcome on arrival would be a great start.
We stopped here for a snack, but it was so crowded because there were two bus loads of people in there also. The line was very long and moved very slowly. Although I could tell the staff was doing their best, it took a while. Not a lot of food to choose from in the cabinet because of the big crowd. The chicken quiche we ordered was delicious. Not very many places to sit because of the big crowd so had to sit outside in the wind and cold.
My friends called in yesterday their comments are the signage is good. The men’s toilets smelt strongly of urine, they suggest that since there is a lot of bus traffic the toilets should be cleaned throughout the day. Also no toilet paper in the ladies. Good was ok and service was fine apart from lack of response regarding toilets.
