Tucker Media
Publishing House
New Plymouth - New Zealand
TuckerMedia is a partnership between Rob Tucker and Ormond Greensill, formed for the purpose of publishing picture books of things 'New Zealand'.
Ormond had approached Rob regarding the supply of images for a book on the Taupo region. Ormond has a holiday home there and saw the need for a publication that showcased the beauty of the region.
The partnership was formed in 2004, and six months later Tucker Media published the first book, Images of a Nation - Taupo. The first print run of 4000 copies sold out some time ago.
TuckerMedia has since published books on a number of regions in New Zealand and in 2008 we began developing a series. 'Where does .... come from?', an educational range aimed at six - to nine year -olds. Our first book, Where Does Milk Come From? has been hugely successful and is now in its second printing.
Further books published in this series are 'Where Does Honey Come From?', 'Where Does Wool Come From?', 'Where Does Bread Come From?' and recently "Where Does Gas Come From?' 'Where Does Milk Come From?' has also been translated in Maori.
The children's books have been very well received by schools and parents throughout New Zealand, and we have also been approached to translate 'Where Does Milk Come From?' for the Chinese market.
E-Books will shortly be available for some of our more popular titles, in particular our range of childrens' books.
