Hello, I am a Tuakau college student and all I have to say is what went wrong in this school. I joined tkc tuakau college a few years ago and ever since I’ve hated the school.nthe school is the absolute worst for bullying and students are leaving and leaving fast. Former students that now go to other schools say that Pukekohe or Onewhero are better then tuakau and I think that’s saying a lot.nThe bullying at tkc is terrible especially by other students and even teachers, yes the teachers bully your kids and make them feel like the worst. On many occasions I’ve been picked on by teachers, refused to be left to calm myself down, belittled by teachers, received rude comments from teachers such as “your family must be ashamed” and other mental affecting comments. I’ve been told by a teacher it was my fault that the class couldn’t do an activity because I came late, I felt embarrassed, and sorry to everyone just to find out from students it was because other classmates were acting up before I even entered the room, known and random students say things to you in hallways about your looks or what you’ve done or who you know, rumours spread like a wild fire and people believe them before they hear your side, been refused to even use the bathroom after the 10 minute wait. the 10 minute wait is when the bell rings for class students must go to class and wait 10 minutes to go to the bathroom or get a drink from the tap and only 1 student may go at a time no matter how long they take. The teachers push the bullying aside and don’t do anything at all.nnMost students are even Afraid to speak up about it and when they do, the school doesn’t do anything. Not even a slap on the wrist, the most they do is suspend on a serious act, but after 3 days they are back to their average bullying status.nnHate is a strong word but I very much hate this school. This school made my older sibling fall into mental illnesses and has made me fall into one to the part I dread going to school. They care more about the uniform than the students health, mental and physical!nnOur principal, Mr. Betty along with many other teachers don’t even reply with hello or good morning when we say it to him but he goes on about how we need to treat others with respect when he can’t even treat us with it, he’s also said “ if you don’t like this school then go find another one.” Well guess what mr.betty we’ve tried! But if we live in tuakau we have to stay unless you kick us out. Maybe instead of just telling your “ troubled students” to go find another school maybe ask yourself why they may be troubled or why don’t they enjoy the school. If you want students to come to school everyday and be happy, make it happy and give them a reason to come.nnBack to bullying. The bullying in the school is just insane. And I would like to put this in just to show you how horrible this school is. A fellow student of tkc had passed away around a month or 2 ago, when the passing was announced students were laughing and saying shame and when the minute of silence was put in place even more laughing was happening. What did the teachers and principal do you may ask? Nothing. They didn’t say a single word to them even after the assembly and they all got away with it, apparently a teacher said they “saw it coming” when they found out aswell.nnThere is a lot more to this horrible school that I can’t fit in a few paragraphs but all I can ask is that you do not send your child here for their sake. They will change and it won’t be for the best, they will change for the worse.nnI would give this school 0 stars if I could but unfortunately I have to rate it and that will be a 1 star review.nn- 2024 tuakau college student.
This school is trash the teachers eat all the school lunch and the kids become staving
I don't know how they got the reviews, absolutely bunch of rude and useless people working there, from the office to the top. You can call me I will tell you why! Don't even deserve one star.
I've been a student at Tuakau College for three years now and everything about this school is fantastic. This year has been the best so far. What an amazing school to go to!
My son attended here. Best teachers ever!
