Very nice and high quality green tea ice cream. I always come here to eat ice cream and it never feel’s enough! I think there is not much sugar in it, so it is very healthy! The drink was alright, not recommended. If you want to use the toilet , you need to ask for keys from the cashier. Friendly staff and nice experience overall. Highly recommend the green tea ice cream really want to try some desserts next time coming here!!!
Oh, I missed this taste so much! While I'd like more creamy 'milky' matcha ice-cream, it still was a great experience for my taste buds. Matcha crepe cake was great too. The service was friendly and the business hours are very generous on Kapiti everything is closed at 5pm, haha. For new to Japanese treats customers, these sweets are not too sweet, the taste is delicate and it is better not to rush through it. Let yourself enough time to enjoy each piece.
A bit pricey but I can’t really find these types of desserts elsewhere in Auckland, and also they are actually good! Been here couple of times and have not had a bad experience with the sweet treats on offer! A must-visit for matcha fan. I love that all their matcha-flavoured drinks and desserts are not too overly sweet and boast strong matcha taste. The matcha croissant has a generous matcha filling and the pastry is on point! Would be a good idea to go halves on it though as it is quite big! The hojicha roll cake is a beauty, would absolutely come back for it. Friendly staff and great interior.
Had a warabimochi parfait. They never fail to nail their distinguishing rich matcha flavour! Everything here is not too sweet which I personally love. However, the warabimochi parfait’s rice cracker layer ruined the experience for me, they were too hard to chew was too overwhelming. Highly recommend the ice cream and cakes here, especially for authentic earthy matcha lovers. Drinks are not to my liking, they often were watered down and tasteless.
Update as of 02/02/2022 - must try their croissant!!!!! highly recommend their Yuzu Citron Float and their Swiss Rolls! excellent service, clean place.
My experience today was outstanding! I had matcha crêpe cake! Sooooo goood !!!! Like seriously! However is commented that its only okay cake I strongly disagree! It was so delightful! The staff was very nice. The atmosphere in the cafe is very relaxing. They play some classic music and it was great. Very clean ! I wish i can try more of their assortments but next time for sure! I was very full and happy after having a slice of crêpe cake. Delicious!!!! Delicious!!!
I finally found real matcha in AKL. They have legit taste of matcha greentea and same taste when I tried in KYOTO. Their matcha is bitter which is the one I was looking for. If you don't like taste of bitterness you must try Yuzu Citron or Houjicha which is roasted version of matcha. Their fittings are so awesome and friendly staffs. It's a very busy lively place to come.
Went for a late night dessert run last night @tsujiri_nz . Found a place that does a big range off Hojicha roasted green tea themed drinks and desserts . It's been a while since i had a yummy parfait, so we took the opportunity to grab one as soon as we saw it on the menu. We ordered: • Hojicha Shiratama Parfait • Matcha Lychee latte . We were totally full from the Korean food before it but just had to try this place out anyway. So glad we did cos the Hojicha was very flavorful and yummy . The Shiratama balls were super mochi like and the Hojicha soft serve day on top of a bed of green jelly . Soo good, soo happy, so glad we visited
One of my favourite dessert joints in town. This is a must visit for all matcha fans! It's never disappointing and the quality is excellent A++ for consistency too!!! My go to is always a matcha float, it's great if you can't decide between their delicious matcha or hojicha soft serve ice cream or something refreshing like their Yuzu tea. Their cabinet cakes are totally yum and they have great add-on's for menu items.
Everything was really good. They had nice service and the Swiss cake was really yum. I would say it’s not the best matcha latte I’ve had, I like my matcha on the stronger side but I don’t regret coming here
