Great walk through native bush, with many large Kauri. We saw Kerereu on a couple of occasions. The loop may take 30 minutes but it's easy to spend longer here. Suitable walking for all levels of fitness, mostly on boardwalks.
Really nice walk. Especially going at night time when kiwis come out. We stayed at the nearby camping ground and it was really handy to access the park from there. Will certainly come back.
Beautiful. The trees are stunning and well worth a visit. Obey the rules and help protect our natural history though!
We stopped for the night. Lovely small campground, with shower and toilet facilities. A great spot to stop to break up a long trip.
Great little campsite with kitchen block and hot showers right next to spectacular Kauri forest with Kiwi's - what more could you want!
Well laid out paths. Easy walking for the grandchildren. Peaceful and scenic surroundings. Not overcrowded with lots of visitors.
Nice and short walk ,you feel the history in this place.
Beautiful but sad to see some of the Kauri trees falling victim to the die back disease
