The room is not more than OK, very rude people in the reception, the only place in our holiday which charges for a cot. Our baby broke by mistake one of the Kmart bedside lamp a couple of those costs $29 and yet rudely he charged us $50 for his “his time” there are better places in a better location go for them.
Do not stay here if you require an early check in. Most accommodation that i have previously used elsewhere has been fine with an early check in if requested early. However Tresori is not. Early check in was request 3 months in advance of my stay, and followed up with a few days in advance, however when we arrived at 1pm, they rudely turned us away until 2pm. It is not difficult to ensure that a single room is ready slightly early when requested. A little understanding goes a long way in assisting with booking. While the room was generally ok, and of a decent size, it was disappointing to find that there was no cooling available other than a fan in the room. There was also a number of general maintenance requirements needed - mould on windows, rotten window framing, dust on shelves, broken towel rail. It appears that the owners do not care about repeat business and ongoing support, purely relying upon little other choice in the busy summer months in Akaroa.
I had so much fun and a great room to relax in after a yummy dinner and some extra yummy margaritas by the ocean!Rooms: 5/5
As a special treat, we shouted ourselves and daughter to a night waterside in the Bruce Apartments. WOW What a beautiful view from every window. The manager sorry I have forgotten his name was so friendly and helpful. Nothing was a problem not that we were Highly recommend Tresori if you want a very special experience in the amazing town of Akaroa.
While the staff were very helpful and accommodating, we were very disappointed with our room. Firstly we were given a key to the wrong room, and after checking back with reception, we found we were accommodated down the road further in a two bedroom apartment, which was cold, smelt very musty, had no wifi, no Sky TV and although clean, was very sub standard compared to the wrong room we had just previously seen. Furnishings were very old and tatty and the general standard of the room fittings were poor. We did email our concerns directly and have received no reply.
Great central location big rooms but just a little dirty. Hairs from previous guests in the bath with dirt when we arrived. My year old son found someones old alcohol cans under the couch. Ive stayed in worse.....Rooms: 2/5
Good sized rooms in a central location. One room didn't have reliable WiFi and the microwave door latch was broken. The bathroom windows needed cleaning and the shower head holder was broken. Nice accomodatio but there needs to be more attention to details and maintenance.Rooms: 3/5
Thomas was super helpful when we were looking for a place for the night at the last minute in dark stormy conditions. He recommended just what we need for accommodation for the night, nothing more. The place is clean, comfortable and safe. It is walking distance to the restaurants in town. A gem of Rakaroa.
After making a booking mistake I was very happy to get moved to the correct date at Tresori's alternative accommodation the - Jacques Apartments Akaroa. That is where the happiness ended as unfortunately apartment was less than luxurious and very unclean. There were grass clippings everywhere inside, dirt in the bathroom mostly behind the door, but worst of all in our Non-smoking room, my curious toddler, found a packet of cigarettes in the drawers. Would not recommend accepting non-branded accommodation from this chain as they clearly don't pay enough attention.
Service above and beyond!! The service at this facility is amazing. I recently sold one of the Le Troupes Apartments these are handled by the team at Tresori and Tom the manager was so helpful and kind and accommodated all my requests for open homes and viewings. If anything was needing attention like lightbulb replacement it was handled quickly and efficiently. Would highly recommend this facility as a great place to stay and be well cared for.
