I haven't been in a Toyword for twenty years but the Hornby store was super familiar. It was so sad to see striking decide between girls and boys. There was an adequate range of shopping but frankly libraries these days are far more inspirational.
Great service but not as big of a toy selection compared to Tower Junction and Marshland or the closest location but it's still a great toy shop.
Super well stocked, impressive array of toys, games & whatever children like, want or ask for. Friedly staff, clean & tidy premises. Recommended toy retailer

Just popped in here to grab some treats for my boy and was really impressed by how well presented it was. They seemed to have alot more stock than the Tower Junction one and it was just so tidy and uniform. I got served by a lovely lady called Claire. Keep up the good work guys!

Took my grandson here to explore. The look on his little face was precious. I purchased board games and card games for my youngest grandsons to play with me. Would recommend you got to the Hornby branch of Toyworld, as staff are so helpful.
Way better than what you can find in Auckland, this store offers a decent range of quality toys.
Not many actual toys a solo parent can afford to entertain a child. Alot of over priced main stream cartoon figurines, and cheap plastic hobby sets which don't last, maybe should be advertised as a hobby shop as opposed to a 'toy' store. Families get hit twice as hard as the expensive prices due to over zealous parking wardens who dish out tickets for time limit infractions without record of time on the ticket. So parking tickets probably doesn't legally hold if you write in but all and all for what it's worth, it's a complete time waste of a place to shopping for your kids toys and it will cost you expensively in every regard. So it's probably better to shop for toys elsewhere and support customer friendly businesses where your not going to waste or loose your money.
Good store with wide ranging selection of toys for all ages and personalities. Lots and lots of toys with some demos kids and play with. The isles are very close hard to push a pram in store. Ample parking outside with disabled parking. Often with good discounts and sales.
