About

Hi, my name is Tom Carroll and I am a student currently studying with Fit College towards a certificate in advanced personal training.

Story

Sport has always been one of my favourite activities and I have always been involved in team sports such as rugby, basketball, touch however after leaving school and joining a gym I took a more individual approach and personal training soon became my ambition. I have become a lot more serious about my training and along with making some lifestyle changes I have lost a significant amount of weight and seen first-hand how your body can transform, this is an extraordinary feeling and one which I would love to help others experience. With the help of Fit College (www.fitcollege.co.nz) I aim to one day make this happen.

Seeing how the body changes and adapts is one thing but understanding how and why the body does what it does and the science behind it is another. This is another one of my interests and I aim to keep seeking more knowledge in this area, as I believe applying this information to training can help take it to the next level.

To me a personal trainer is someone who practices what they preach and loves what they do, easy to approach and talk to, knowledgeable, able to encourage and push you further than you thought you could and always seeking new information to improve what they do and how they do it.

Once I am Qualified I plan to continue on my own fitness journey to be the best I can while helping others on their own journeys, I hope to travel the world inspiring others, training and learning from people anywhere that I can.

Always remember fitness is a journey, not a destination.
