About

The Titirangi Wine & Food Society meets once a month with a varied calendar of wine tastings, restaurant and winery visits.

Story

The TWFS is an informal gathering of approximately 80 members based in West Auckland who promote occasions for members to enjoy food, wine, and good company. We meet once per month in and around Titirangi with a theme of food and wine-related activities such as wine tastings, restaurant visits, and fun competitions. The club was formed in 1984, and intends to hold a 30th anniversary celebration dinner in December this year.

Always have what I went for and are all very friendly.
Service; excellent, friendly, personable, gift wrapping 5 Parking: off street car park although pot luck as not dedicated to the shop. Never have a problem. 5 Facilities: walk in fridge, beer refill station, wheel chairs will struggle due to stock on floor and narrow access. 4 Selection: always well stocked. Great range of craft beers and wines. Usual and unusual spirit brands. 5 Hours: run by the Trusts so hours are not as open as say somewhere out of West Auckland. 4 Value: prices are reasonable - something to cater for all budgets. 5 In summary, might not be as big but rivals some of the big players for range and value. Better than the supermarkets. 5
Very low stock levels on the wine shelves. All the advertised specials were long gone and the store seemed a bit untidy. Initial thoughts are it seems to be less well managed than the previous West Liquor.
Good service from the young lady at the till. If only all from this generation of cry babies, were efficient and friendly as she was. I'll be back!!
Great product choice & VERY helpful & friendly staff. Pretty good prices too. Missing the final star because 1/ getting a car park can be stressful & 2/ the shop's physically small so a pain if it's busy & it can't have as wide a range as larger stores
Kia ora koutou, the store manager Abi is a very professional and caring man. He went completely out of his way for me while I was in isolation with great communication and service, kia pai koe ki tenei tohu aroha aku!
Great service by staff, a good collection of craft beers , also have craft beers on tap
Utterly appalled by the older woman who I believe is the manager only reason I can assume she gets away with the way she interacts with customers she is extremely discriminatory and makes it incredibly difficult for me and others judging from previous reviews to visit this store. Someone higher up needs to have a serious conversation with her about how she deals with people, she asks you for ID despite you being clearly of age to purchase - however I understand that procedure is procedure - so you present her photo ID showing that you are of age and it STILL isn’t good enough for her. It is to the point where she is driving away customers who simply don’t have the time to be interrogated by her. It is disappointing that I cannot visit my local West Liquor Titirangi because of this woman. Unfortunately it appears I’m not the only one -which begs the question why someone has not spoken to her sooner. Ironically - and not surprisingly - she does not ask for ID when I arrive to the store from work wearing a full suit, but when I show up on a day off in casual wear and wearing a cap, the story changes and she changes into a different person. I have no issues at all when I drive further down the road to either Glen Eden or Green Bay. Disappointing West Liquor - won’t be going back until she either no longer works there or has had a serious talking to about her over the top questioning and discriminatory behaviour to customers. Would give 0 stars if I could.
Always friendly and helpful. Good knowledge of wines, and even gets in special orders of hard to find beers for me. The physical space is a bit small but suits the village vibe.
Disappointing. No stock. Very expensive wine. Disorganised and staff don’t seem to know what is going on. Will not go back until I hear it has got its act together.
