Lovely Authentic Chinese Dumpling place My Mother in law who was in Melbourne visiting really enjoyed all the various dumplings pan fried pork & cabbage dumpling, boiled beef dumpling and most of all the soup dumpling aka xiao long bao. I was also impress by the service, The service person offered by two dogs some water, without me even asking. Two thumbs up for being so considerate. The signature noodle curry fried rice vermicelli was just a tad salty, so best to ask the chef to tone down the salt, for next time :
This was a nice cosy restaurant. I actually enjoyed the food. I thought the fish was cut in an awesome way where my husband and I were able to pick and dip into the sweet and sour sauce. Their Mongolian beef is the best I've had here in Melbourne. Staff are friendly and we got good service
Great dumpling shop near the beach! What we had: - chicken & prawn dumplings good - xiao long baos! So yummm... - seafood pipis with egg noodles pretty good - salt & pepper tofu so so Follow me on IG @kristinesubagiyo for more food reviews
The seafood noodles presentation is average, tastes average. The chicken prawn dumplings are ok. And i had to wait for 20 minutes to get the food after placing order at 4pm.
Where: Altona Who: Tina's Dumpling House What: Asian Cuisine with special dumpling list Met some friends here for a last minute catch up on a Thursday for lunch. Venue was much larger than expected, with inside booths lining one wall and tables that run the depth of the inside and outdoor picnic bench style seating under umbrellas over astro turf. The staff were lovely and attentive. We bought our own wine but their is a decent cocktail list also available. Food came out quickly and I thought it was good. Better than I was expecting. My wonton and noodle soup was delicious. Servings were good size also. We had a long lunch and felt very relaxed and full by the end of it. Would happily return and dine here.
Our go-to in the area. Staff are so friendly and accommodating. Unbelievable dumplings and cheap cocktails
The dumplings here i found to be unique and delicious, lovely crispy batter. The sechuan sauce came with a huge portion of peanut paste mixed in, which tasted good but too much peanut sauce dampened the sechuan chilli flavours. Spicy crispy chicken actually was really good with that sechuan sauce combo. Overall a good meal and atmosphere.
Family of four Ordered 2 lots of Dumplings, 2 x pork buns, sizzling beef & serve of fried rice & round of drinks. Everything was super salty! Service was average also - wrong drinks served, had to ask for soy sauce, had to ask for dishes to be taken away in order for our food to be placed on table. We had all finished our meals and fried rice had not even arrived at table. Really disappointed as I’d heard good things about this place. Won’t be returning- we we’re celebrating a big week
We went for lunch on a Sunday. Group of 10 Pros: 1. Great location 2 outdoor seating great for a good sunny day 3. Reasonable prices Cons: 1. Restaurant seemed to be short staffed so service was poor 2. Food was average except for Peking Duck which was yummy 3. No plates provided and felt rushed
The chicken was not cooked properly & we sent it back. It came back half an hour later and had been microwaved. It was so tough we could not bite it. Management were not concerned in regards to the under cooked chicken or customer satisfaction. Would not recommend this place, if you choose to eat here make sure the food, especially chicken and pork are cooked properly
