The penguins are so adorable! We arrived and waited until 7:30 PM. They appeared right on time and were very friendly and approachable. Such a wonderful experience
Amazing experience! Definitely worth the wait. The staff were incredibly helpful and informative — we even saw 9 penguins that day! Highly recommend.
There were two little penguins showing up around 7:00 PM at the 77. They are so cute
Free and fun activity after sunset so the time depends and changes every day. Please be careful and considerate and don't disturb the penguins. There are volunteers looking after the site, so that everyone behaves. You can spot several little blue penguins emerging from the water and making their way to the nests. We spotted the first penguin around 20.45 20.11. and stayed there for two hours. Pretty awesome!
We arrived at 9 PM, excited to see the little penguins coming ashore. However, it quickly became clear that we were a bit too early. A very kind older lady, who was volunteering there, explained to us where the best spots were to see the penguins and where their nests are located. She also mentioned that in the previous days, the first penguin didn’t come ashore until 10:15 PM. While this was helpful information, it also meant we had about an hour of waiting ahead of us.nnThe first penguin finally appeared at 10:30 PM, and although the wait was a bit long, it was absolutely worth it. Watching them waddle along the beach was an adorable and heartwarming experience. The way they moved and interacted with each other was fascinating and truly special to witness.nnIf you’re planning a visit, it’s definitely something I’d recommend, but you need to bring both time and patience. The experience is unforgettable, and seeing these little creatures in their natural habitat is magical. Just be prepared for potentially long waiting times and dress warmly, as it can get chilly at night!
