Timaru Artisan Farmers Market is a charming little market, standing out for its focus on local products. It's better than other markets I've visited, with a great selection of unique and high-quality art and handicrafts. While parking is plentiful nearby, it's paid. The market offers a nice variety of food but can get crowded due to its small size. Definitely worth a visit for its local offerings. highly recommended. can do a pitstop if u are travelling nearby.
Small little farmers market, there were some interesting handmade products. Some finger food and hot drinks available too. Paid parking along Strathallan Street. Public toilet available near train station.
About 15 stores in a small unique market place. Offering local produce and a few handicraft stores. Live music provided and coffee available.
Extremely small market with no hot food. Sometimes good live music. Very good location, family friendly. Thumb up for not asking 4 vaccine passports during the covid craziness
Vibrant weekly Saturday market with live music and a wide range of delicious fresh food, provisions, Artisan bakery products, coffee, crafts, gifts and flowers. A must-do in Timaru! You can graze on a delectable brunch , stock your fridge and pantry and do all of your gift shopping whilst supporting local vendors. All in a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere.
A relaxed, casual way to browse and shop for fresh veg, free range eggs, gift / craft lines, homemade produce, food, among other things, and all to the background music of a live band, who I might add, are very good in my opinion. They play the music I like to hear anyway. Worth a look.
A great selection of stalls and lovely people. Produce are of far better quality and way cheaper than the supermarkets!!
A place for supporting Timaru's local farmers and artisans.
Nice variety of stalls, although only a few stalls the stall holders are friendly and have quality produce and hand made products. There is hot and cold food, fruit and vege, hydroponic lettuce, honey, and handmade soaps. There is a large selection of preserves. The stall holders can change from week to week, sometimes there are buskers and performers. The highlight for me was a stall holder had gluten free and vegetarian options.
Visited this market for the first time. One can find the green leafy vegetables inexpensive and fresh. There were not many stalls so the options were less. Market opens at 9 in the morning and closed by noon. Public toilets and ample parking is available in front of the market.
