Love the vibes here very relaxing staff were awesome food was delicious definitely recommend this place great location close to the portside and beach nice place to go for a walk after yr meal thanks guys we enjoyed our evening
Where do we start! Love love love, the service was perfect, lovely young lady and so attentive. The good was unbelievable, the scallops, fish of the day all cooked to perfection. The Baileys Crème Brûlée was out of this world. 1 min walk from The Crown Hotel , perfect location and lo Ely setting. Don’t go past this one you will not be disappointed, EXCEPTIONAL! Dietary restrictions: Catered for all dietary requirements
Since arrival in NZ in 2020, this was hands down the best Restaurant, Fantastic food, awesome staff and just a great atmosphere, the Beef Wellington was to die for and the Creme Brulee fantastic - best ever!
We were so disappointed with our recent dining experience here after visited many times while in town. We were in a separate room which was fine as we had kids but also meant we were forgotten at times. Never offered the daily specials and ended up walking through to the main dining area to take a photo on our phone. The beef Wellington priced at $47 was an absolute disaster. Sited on the menu board served medium rare… it was about half an hour over. Well done with no pink to be seen. It’s strange as the pastry was soggy, I’ve had crispier pastry on a service station pie. We were never meal checked or checked in at all during our meal so I saved some to show the waiter. Sorry was the reply. And that was it. The scotch steak was a shocker. Very chewy and full of fat. The fries were watery in texture. Not fluffy and crispy. The whole experience was a let down and we will not be back.
We had a great meal here with the ciabatta starter and the steak and chicken for our mains, the steak was a great cut, cooked to perfection and super tasty. We both indulged in dessert. I would highly recommend for great food and atmosphere. Service was also very good.
We were a big group 10+ people and they were very accommodating although we made a last minute reservation. I had the fish of the day which was snapper - it was perfectly pan fried with a selection of roasted veggies and the yummiest gratin style potatoes. Taking two stars off because food took a long time to come out - we ordered around 7:15pm and the food didn’t come out until 8. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and say that it’s because we were a big group and they wanted to make sure everyone got served at the same time. However, the most disappointing aspect was the lack of decent options for the vegans who were with us. There was just a pasta dish with tomato sauce, and given that this more of fine dining restaurant you’d expect something a bit more substantial especially given the outstanding quality and variety of the non vegan options.
Amazing food, lamb rank was amazing and the flavour of the lamb and veges was amazing! Coffee and treat option was great. Service was a little slow but they were full, waitress was lovely and really made the night.
Not worth the hype. Couldn't get in on Friday night for dinner so made a booking for Saturday and were a little disappointed. The garlic flatbread was absolutely amazing but I can't say the same about the eye fillet or the apparently highly regarded risotto, which were both just average. The ambience and service were good but there honestly, there are better more interesting options around.
Booked dinner here while in Napier for a couple of days and really glad we did. Beautiful venue, relaxed atmosphere, cheerful and attentive staff and delicious food. Thanks Ange and Andrea for being so lovely.
We held our engagement party at the 4th Door Lounge Bar at 3 Doors Up and we could not recommend this venue more. The Lounge Bar itself was an incredible space and had a really lovely ambience for our party. We kept hearing how amazing the food was from our guests and the service was incredible. The communication and organisation of the function by the team made the night feel incredibly easy. To top it off, we had the most amazing bar staff who looked after us and nothing was an issue for them. Honestly, if you’re looking for a venue for your next function, look no further . Thanks guys for an amazing night. 5+ stars!
