At Thermaclad Insualtions Ltd, we specialise in the installation of insulation and sheet metal cladding, as well as the manufacture of thermal covers.
Welcome to Thermaclad Insulations Ltd.
Gary Lotz, founder and Managing director of Thermaclad Insulations Ltd has had 34 years experience throughout Europe and Australasia within the insulation industry.
I pride myself on my knowledge of the products & applications of them. Having worked closely with many different engineering companies I understand the needs & requirements of the client.
Thermaclad offers a full consultancy service offering technical advice and product options for new build projects as well as existing maintenance contracts.
Insulations
Thermaclad supplies & fits insulations and claddings to all mechanical services such as pipelines, vessels, boilers, ductwork, asphalt tanks, valves, flanges etc. We have our own fabrications workshop which allows us to deliver a prompt efficient service. We also supply and fit Kooltherm rigid foam pipe insulation (arriving soon – please see link) http://www.kingspantarec.com/tarecUK/why_KS_Tarec_Kooltherm.htm
Coverings
Thermaclad Insulations offers a wide variety of insulation coverings including Isogenopak plastic, Plysolene PIB rubber, stainless steel, aluminum, galvanized and corrugated iron.
Removable Jackets
We manufacture our own removable valve and flange jackets using state of the art materials. Our valve and flange jackets offer great energy savings as well as personal protection. During maintenance, the insulation that covers valves, and fittings is often damaged or removed and not replaced. Valves, and fittings that are not insulated can be safety hazards and sources of heat loss. Removable and reusable THERMACLAD Jackets are available to cover almost any surface. The jackets are made of a non-combustible inside cover, insulation material, and a non-combustible outside cover that resists tears and abrasion. Material used in the jackets resists oil and water and has been designed for temperatures up to 870 degrees centigrade. Velcro straps and string ties hold the jacket in place.
Applications
Reusable THERMACLAD jackets are commonly used in industrial facilities for insulating flanges, valves, expansion joints, heat exchangers, pumps, turbines, tanks, and other irregular surfaces. The jackets are flexible and vibration-resistant and can be used with equipment that is horizontally or vertically mounted or that is difficult to access. Any high-temperature piping or equipment should be insulated to reduce heat loss, reduce emissions, and improve safety. As a general rule, any surface that reaches temperatures greater than 48 degrees centigrade should be insulated to protect personnel. THERMACLAD jackets can be easily removed for periodic inspection or maintenance, and replaced as needed. Jackets can also contain built-in acoustical barriers to help control noise.
Example:
Calculate the annual fuel and dollar savings from installing a 1-inch thick insulating jacket on an un-insulated 6-inch gate valve in a 250-pound-per-square-inch-gauge (psig) saturated steam line (207 degrees centigrade). Assume continuous operation with natural Gas at a boiler efficiency of 80% and a fuel price of $8.00 per million Btu ($8.00/MMNtu)
Results:
Annual Dollar Saving = 65.6MMbtu/yr x $8.00/MMBtu= $525.00 per 6 inch gate valve
THERMACLAD INSULATIONS manufactures and fits jackets to meet all site-specific job requirements. THERMACLAD can complete site surveys to ensure the best fit on irregular surfaces. For customised applications and consulting advise, please contact us.
