What an awesome spot, looks small out front but opens up into a massive area with two outdoor seating spots, 1 in a garden and the other on a deck. The coffee was top dogs, the staff were friendly and the range of food they have is amazing. There are great vegetarian options from the cabinet if you’re in a hurry or get the kitchen to make you something up. Highly recommend coming here first if you’re driving through. Will def come here again if I’m coming back through.
Very nice little cafe. Friendly staff and quick service. The food was tasty and there was plenty of seating. The funky design and atmosphere was very cool Food: 5/5
We headed over to Takaka after some recent heavy rain, very wary that the road had been closed the day before. The local cleanup services had done an amazing job, so we were able to traverse the hill safely to visit my neice and take her out for lunch! What better place to go! Such a wide range of food, prepared and cooked with love and care. There were four of us dining, and we were served quickly, and with gusto! There is plenty of outdoor seating, and if the weather is a little rough, lots of inside seating also. We chose a table upstairs, under the watchful eyes of Norma Jean, Bob Dylan and James Dean. I had a bit of a sweet tooth, so ordered the waffles with bacon and bananas. The waffles were light and fluffy, fresh and crispy on the outside while nice and cakey inside. The bacon was crisp and complimented the sliced bananas perfectly. My neice had the eggs bene, and this was nice, although I think the eggs were very slightly overdone, but then again, I like my eggs very runny and this is a personal preference. Another diner with us had the grilled fish, this was very good, and was cooked well. The venue is rustic but very clean and comfortable. They even had a special exit for this old hippy! Get out of the rat race and give this place a go! Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian meals available.
Stopped on the way to Wharariki Beach. Super packed with quite a queue, prolly due to the holidays. But didn’t have to wait long for food to arrive. Had a very yummy burger while my friend had fish and chips. Definitely go try it out!
One of the best meals my boyfriend and I have ever had! We shared two slices of the vegetarian pizza and the veggie curry baguette from the great selection of pastries they have available in a glass display case. The winter tonic was amazing. Very reasonable prices for the quality of food. Very healthy and so many unique flavors. Service was great! Warm seating downstairs!
Went here for icecream more than once and it's amazing. Staff are friendly and it was highly recommended to me by local people so I had to check it out!Food: 5/5

Friendly staff, tasty coffee and beautiful atmosphere. You can sit inside or outside, the Café is pretty big and at the front you can find awesome fresh made ice-cream. Try the dirty chai as they make their own chai tea there :Food: 5/5
Good food. Great space; an old theatre. Popular with all. Back and egg croissant was a hit
