Budget friendly store. Large large footfall area. Loads of options. Cloths , some electronics , children toys , shoes , home improvement and kitchen items, stationary and some snacks. Plants & books . Support staff was helpful. Self checkout kiosk also available . No fresh food or fruits / vegetables .
There is no pedestrian area in the car park so you have to walk behind cars which can be dangerous given how many people aren't paying attention. Parts of the store were a bit cramped. Their christmas stuff was at the front but there was no signage indicating if this was discounted it all showed the original full price on their tickets unless you took it to the scanner. Some of their clothing racks were super packed that clothes were falling on the floor.
If its “assorted item” list. Donot order as warehouse online as per customer service doesnot guarantee the right item would be sent. Even if you send pictures for their reference from that assorted list. So basically assorted means you pay the shown price but you can get any item thats not listed online at all “among the assorted list”. Who want to buy with this fabulous style of business. If you want to be sure just buy in store.
The best shopping experience I have had at the Warehouse tonight 22 October. I havnt been to the warehouse for a while. I was looking for a book and a helpful man asked if I needed help. He got someone else to go up a ladder to search for the book while he went out to the store room to search. I was surprised how much out of their way they went, for my book!nWhen I got to the checkout, the young girl there went and got boxes for my plants - without me even asking. So impressed with The Warehouse New Plymouth
On 21-10-2025, I visited the store and was browsing the beauty section. I picked up a Maybelline foundation but later decided not to buy it after speaking with my partner on the phone. As I was still on the call, I accidentally placed the product back near the Daisy deodorants rather than its original spot.nA short time later, a woman dressed in black and wearing a headset approached me and asked to talk. She immediately told me I was “on camera” and demanded that I show her where I had put the foundation. When I tried to explain, she interrupted and said, “I know you people,” which I found deeply offensive and discriminatory. She also threatened to call the police and accused me of stealing, in front of other customers.nI felt completely humiliated and targeted. When I asked her to follow me, I showed her the foundation exactly where I had placed it — in plain sight on the shelf. Despite this, she did not apologise or review the camera footage as I requested. I left the store in tears, feeling judged and disrespected. As an international student from India living alone in New Zealand, this experience has caused me significant emotional distress and anxiety.
