Very welcoming once we arrived. Food was delicious! We also had lemon tart for dessert which was very tasty.. will definitely be returning.
Got the chicken supreme. Chicken was nice. The mushroom sauce was alright but thought it might be creamier. Came with a side of baby potatoes that had like a pesto covering which wasnt for me but would be great if you like pesto. Only fault was a hair my mother dearest found in her chicken which was a bit off putting. But would eat here again.
Went to this delightful local restaurant on Saturday evening around six o clock the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We were a table of five shared chicken wings they were brilliant I moved on to the main course again chicken in fact it was two chicken mains and three short rib beef and I have to say the food was to die for everything was perfect not one complaint about anything . It's great to have a top quality local restaurant to go to where the food is up there with the best and from what I could see the prices were very fair for the quality of food and service that provided . Top marks to the team keep up the great work .
The food and atmosphere are great, I’ve had two experiences there - first time the service wasn’t that quick but it was just for a lunch on my own so I didn’t mind. The second time we sat down and were looking forward to a relaxed meal, considered staying for an extra drink and the service was just too slow that we decided to leave. The server could’ve done better with removing extra glasses on the table, but other than that and the slow service I really like the place. Just would like a bit quicker and attentive service.
Wow just wow!! I went down to the village to try out this new establishment well needed in castleknock and I wasn't disappointed from being welcomed at the door to the 5 star service. I went down at 1pm so the brunch menu was being served. I opted for the chicken and waffles which were recommended to me by one of the members of staff. They were unbelievable picture doesnt do any justice. After settling up my bill I had a glance and the dinner menu and have already booked my return. We'll done twin oaks looking forward to seeing you again.
Food was excellent. The menu has a great selection for starters mains and desserts! Veggie options available for all courses. Good size cocktail menu. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Great venue for a big group!Recommended dishesSlow Roasted Pork Belly, Chips, Gambas on Toast, Homemade Winter Root Gnocchi, Moules, Creamy Mashed Potatoes, Twin Oaks Burger
We were a party of 8 for brunch looking forward to trying a new local restaurant. Unfortunately the experience was very poor. Initially a young waitress took our food order but did not take drinks order. After 10 to 15 minutes we called another waitress to ask for the drinks menu. Approximately 25% of the tables were occupied however, not all items on the menu were available. We were eventually informed of this by the second waitress. After altering our initial choice 3 of us requested an alternative. When the food arrived the chips were cold and the poached eggs which looked and tasted more like fried eggs were also cold. The sourdough toast was of poor quality and resembled white slices pan bread. One member of our party did not receive her food until everyone else at the table had finished despite the fact that her order was similar to other members of the party. The flat white coffees were weak, had no froth and resembled an instant an coffee with some cold milk. It is a shame to see this standard of food and service being offered at the same price as so many other restaurants offering excellent food and service. We like to support local businesses and hope that standards dramatically improve before we would return.
Was looking forward to trying out the new restaurant, booked a table for a special family occasion. Unfortunately Twin Oaks doesn’t cater for children so be wary if you’re planning a family meal out. A massive disappointment. The manager also didn’t appear to care when we asked was there an alternative menu for children. Considering the prices and restricted menu his behaviour was less than welcoming. We left and ate elsewhere. Won’t be interested in trying it again.
Had a lovely brunch with my family at Twin Oaks celebrating a special occasion. Great food , friendly staff and pleasant surroundings. A fabulous addition to the village and looking forward to returning soon . Easy to book online and would recommend to friends/family.
Our first time at Twin Oaks. Lovely decor, spacious room but staff a little inexperienced. The food was excellent and the meal was relaxed and unrushed. Parking: Plenty of parking. Wheelchair accessibility: All on the flat Including the toilets which were spotless.
